Large Vintage Sterling SIlver Frog Pin Gold Gilt Decoration Marked JE 2" x 2.5"
For auction is a vintage. Sterling silver, frog pin. The pin is quite large. It is 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches from front to back. It weighs 16.4 grams. It is marked on the bottom 925 and with the initials JE and a copyright"C" I have not been able to identify this maker's mark. There is a simple swivel pin stem and open"c" catch in place that work as intended. The frog body is decorated with gold gilt on the toes on all four feet; on the eyes and on bumps down the spine. I have not tried to clean or polish the silver surfaces of this piece. Condition is very good. Shipping is $2.35.
