I believe I caught more bass from a black jitterbug than any other lure I used when I was a youngster This one is one of the WW-II era jitterbugs. Coming in the red/white design These lures were made with the plastic lips as part of the war effort due to the shortage of metal materials normally used for the lip-these quickly became a sought after collectible as Arbogast went back to their normal metal lips shortly after the war ended Measures just about 2 3/4 inches. Vintage Hendryx Wire Birdcage With accessories Cottage Chic Pink Vintage Hendryx wire bird cage with brass spring hook for stand hanging(does not have stand) Looks as if this were originallly teal with stainless/chrome corner supports but was painted pink at some point.looks like long ago as there is some wear to the pink paint leaving some of the teal to show through on the inside bars. The underside is solid teal. This model has very fine mesh screens on the front and back and had two sliding ones that covered the openings on the sides for feeding and cleaning. But one of the sliding screens is missing. Still has the sliding catch all tray(has some thin surface rust in one corner area) and the under tray beneath that. Accessories include: 3 wood perch bars. 2 bells, 3 watering or feeding cups, yellow plastic ladder and a red plastic round ... moremirror with hanging bell(mirror has spots from age) And the must have bird swing(metal with wood perch) hanging from the center. HISTORY: Up for auction is ONE vintage all original Charles Eames for Herman Miller DKR-2 bikini wire chair with Eiffel Tower base with second generation glides. The abbreviation of DKR-2 stands for Dining or desk height(K) Wire seat Rod base(2) Two piece pad. This early fabric upholstered wire chair was designed in 1952 as a part of newest contribution of low-cost seating comfort. The Eames office used bent and welded wire mesh as the bases for the furniture designs. The seat as well as the base of this chair are made out of bent and welded wire and is known for its comfort and durability. This chair was an instant hit! From Herman Miller early 1950s"Chairs" poster: The formed wire shell of these chairs is welded into a single. Lightweight unit. The double perimeter wire forms a continuous open truss for added strength. The versions ... moreshown here have two-piece upholstered pads which are easily removable for cleaning. CONDITION REPORT: This chair is excellent for its age and in all original vintage condition. The upholstery is tan color. The button and the loop are all original. All metal parts of the chair are 100% original and showing some pitting and enamel ware consistent for 60+ years old chair. The upholstery interior is very clean with no stains and it has become somewhat lighter on the front due to natural light exposure. Still looks very nice! The back of the upholstery has some pattern where it was touching the metal frame. There is one small seam opening on the edge in the upper right corner that could be easily fixed. Nothing major but we have to mention this for the accuracy of the description. The black enameled plated Eiffel tower rod base has no bends. Re-welds, or any other repairs of any kind. The glides are black rubber and metal, and they slipped over round metal balls on the ends of each leg. It stands about 15 inches high, 12 inches long, 8 inches wide. It has a metal slide-out tray in the bottom of the cage. It has a 4 inch spring loaded wire door. One side has a hinged door secured by a wire latch. The hand painted design on all four sides is lovely. The birdcage is in very good condition. There's a piece of missing wood on the bottom which does not detract from either the beauty or the sturdiness of the cage. It was probably used decoratively. Vintage Victorian Oak Wall Mount Hooks & Wire Rack Coat Hat Cloak Room Pullman
Up for auction is a beautiful old victorian wall hook and rack combination. It has 4 hooks on it and they extend approximately 6" from the board. The wood is oak and still has the original finish on it. There is some minor rust on the hooks and some slight scratching, but these can be corrected with a good cleaning.
