This auction is for a Vintage handmade Adirondack style Oak Slat Folding Canoe or boat seat. Look to be patterned after Old Town style seat made about 25 years ago by a craftsman in New Hampshire. These look never used. Made from oak with brass screws. They are 15" wide. The legs are 4.5" tall to the bottom of the seat. They are 22.5" tall when unfolded. I have two of these I am listing, in separate auctions. They are unmarked. Very well made. These are not made by the Old Town Company. I love this piece.and, remember using something similar when I went canoeing with my grandfather. After a little research, I found that this was made by the Tucker Duck& Rubber Co. of Fort Smith, Arkansas.I can see a slight essence of the marking on the back but it is very hard to see just the Made by Tucker.the rest is pretty much gone. Both the top and bottom have five wood slats and I an unsure of the type of wood. The wood slats are rounded at the top and has a nice thick trim at ... morethe bottom. It is portable and folds, it has metal joints for folding and metal rounded pieces on the bottom portion to slide onto a bench or canoe seat to keep the chair in place. There are the original cushions included which are multi-colored stripes. The top and bottom cushions have corner flaps to put over the slats, which works on the top but are not needed for the bottom. The cusions are dirty. The wood is in good condition and the only area where there is a crack is at one of the joints where there is a crack up the external wood piece where the metal joint is bolted in.it runs up the wood, not across, but still seems sound however, I would recommend suring it up a bit. I have attached a picture. It measures 19 1/2" long when it is closed, the seat and the back is 15 1/2" wide, the back is 17 1/2" tall and the bottom is 16 1/2" long, the metal slide on pieces are 4" deep. Sold As Is. Delaware Valley 5-Slat Ladder Back Rocking Chair, Mid 18th C Antique
This is a mid 18th C Delaware River Valley rocking chair. These chairs were made along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. They are characterized by the bulbous turnings on the front stretcher, turned front legs, concave and reverse graduated slats and bulbous finials. This is a superior example of the Delaware Valley chair. There are turnings above and below the seat. The 5 slats are highly peaked, and the finials are tall and intact. T he splint seat is original. Likewise. The finish is original and the patina is about as good as it gets. I suspect that this chair was converted to a rocker in the mid to late 19th C due to the rocker profile and later screws. This chair is 42.5"H. 25.5"W, 32.25"D, with a 15.5" seat height. There are losses to the back of the front stretcher turnings, ... moreand the left seat support is cracked. There are also losses to the splint seat(please see the pictures) There is no real joinery movement. Aside from the rocker conversion. Here's a Five Slat Ladder Back Double Bearing Arm Rocker. In old natural finish. Good Solid chair, Circa 1720. Hickory Splint Seat is very old, with two breaks in splints at rear of seat. See plate#1909 of"Nuttings Furniture Treasury" Measures 42" High. Width is 21" Wide at Front and 14" Wide at Rear. Seat width is 18" at Front and 15" at Rear. Rockers are 25" Long.

Delaware Valley 4-Slat Ladder Back Rocking Chair, Late 18th C Antique, Rush Seat
This is a late 18th C Delaware River Valley rocking chair. These chairs were made along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. They are characterized by the bulbous turnings on the front stretcher, turned front legs, concave and reverse graduated slats and bulbous finials. I suspect that this chair was converted to a rocker in the early 19th C when they became popular. The oak rockers have a great early profile and they were affixed with strong saddle joinery and wooden pegs. The rush seat is old but not original. Likewise, the finish is very old and appropriate, but perhaps not original. This chair is 42.75"H, 24.5"W, 37"D, with a 17" seat height. There appears to be an old repair to the right arm but there is no movement(please see pictures) There is no real joinery movement at all, and ... morethe chair easily supports my 230 lbs. 1900's Painted Thumbback Chair With Woven Rush Seat Thumb Back Ladder Slat
Listing this evening a nice looking thumbback(thumb back) chair. A 1900's copy of an early 1800's chair in very good condition. It is 34 1/4" tall and seat height is 17 1/2" It is 17 1/2" wide across the top and 18 1/2" wide across the widest part of the seat. It is painted black over what I believe is the original russett stain. The condition of the paint is excellent. There is little wear on the front stretcher, a small split(doesn't affect strength) on the back at the lower slat joint(pic#6) and some wear of the paint on a rear leg(pic#7) There are no breaks or significant wear to any wood surfaces. I believe the rush(great condition) is a fairly recent replacement(1960's or thereabouts) This is a nice looking country piece that would enhance any period room. Antique Simmons Company Patent Pending Folding Wood Slat Chairs LQQK!
I have 3 folding chairs that are made by the Simmons Company sometime around the turn of the century. They are in good condition given their age. And are still solid to sit in. They read"Simmons Company USA Patent Pending" on the back. I have read what I can find on the internet about these chairs, and I find one person that said that theirs read patented 1893 which would make mine slightly earlier. The other person said that Simmons began making folding chairs in 1926 which would date mine to that date. Either way, they are nice, solid, old chairs. Good luck!

Antique Birds-Eye Slat Back Maple Childs Chair With Hand Made Cushions
I have a very nice antique Maple Slat Back chair in great condition. The slat itself has been made from birds-eye maple. But it does not appear to be anywhere else on the piece. It has been used so it has some wear, but no cracks or structual problems. It is very sturdy, not wobbely at all. It has a hand made quilted back and cushion that are included. I can not see a makers mark, but it is definately quality made. It stands 24 inches tall x 15 3/4 inches wide x 13 inches deep. The seat is 12 inches off the floor.

An early 1900's,4 slat rear mission style solid oak rocking chair. i am not sure if this is a gustav stickley or a piece from another similar manufacturer of the time. The seat is heavy and obviously reupholstered in the native indian motif. This rocker is solid with no loose pieces whatsoever. This is a fantastic mid century Emeco aluminum side chair. Original black upholstery is rip free. Chair measures 33" H overall. The seat is 18" from the floor. The seat is 17" W x 16" L. The frame has some scratches and marks conducive with age. There is a couple of metal nuts missing on the bottom that can be replaced in any hardware store. These just keep the seat in place. This is a restored Martin Maier oak slat camelback trunk. All parts are original to the piece except one roller. Which was replaced because it was broken, and the handles have been replaced due to their poor condition. The interior has been lined in reproduction Civil War Era fabric of gold and black. We have visited the UPS store and they estimated the cost to pack and ship this trunk from here to the East Coast at approximately $300. If a cheaper way to ship can be found we will find it. The metal flat bar construction is not broken but needs polishing. As you can see. The wood is beyond repair. Great project for this rare version of Acton's classic design. DIMENSIONS: 47" long x 20.75" wide x 14" tall. Legs are 3.5" wide at top. CONDITION: As you can see. This needs a total redo. Vintage Wooden Bookcase Book Shelf Rack Stand Slat & Notch Assembly Home Library
Welcome! Presenting a hand made vintage wooden bookcase. Book shelf, stand or rack, for personal use in a home library, constructed with a unique"slat in notch" assembly. When assembled, this bookcase measures about 23 1/2 inches wide to the end of the slats, 33 1/3 inches high at the highest point and 11 inches front to back at the feet. The slats appear to be made of solid pine wood, while the end standards are 7-ply wood with solid"feet" The wood is stained a sort of medium honey brown, with darker stain to the feet and slats. There are some splintery edges to the notches, scattered dings and shallow digs to the wood and an 8" hairline surface crack to the inside of one of the end standards.
