AWESOME& RARE VINTAGE JAEGER-LeCOULTRE 15J ~ 8 DAY ~ TRIPLE DATE W/ WINDING INDICATOR CONVERTED POCKET/ MEN'S WRIST WATCH IN BIG BEAUTIFUL STAINLESS CASE W/ DISPLAY BACK This one is so fantastic and so unusual.most likely a one of a kind! Movement was rescued and given a new home after it's 18K case was sent to the melting pot! I have included a bunch of photos so you can see for yourself how great this one is. I really don't know a ton about these vintage J AEGER-LeC OULTRE pocket watches. Because they're very scarce. I do know from the watch guide- and from some research- that this one was originally housed in a 14K open face case. Sadly, the case was sent to the smelter for the gold value- an unfortunate, but common situation these days- and the movement was left to be used for parts. Fortunately, it was re-cased into ... morethis fantastic wrist watch and given a new life! It has been worn a bit this week and has been running well and keeping pretty accurate time. Case is stainless steel and with snap on/off case back and bezel. Case back is a display back type. So you can see the 15 jewel movement in action. Measures 48.5mm across(not including the winding crown) x 60mm from lug end to lug end. You may notice that in a couple of the pictures the watch had a black strap. I found this beautiful. Rich burgundy colored strap and I think it looks so sharp! The reddish color makes the red arrow tip of the date indicator really stand out. The dial may look black(perhaps it is? But to me( in person) it looks like it's a very deep forest green with bold white numbers. The day of the week is featured next to the 4 and the winding indicator is located at 9. You change the day of the week by rotating the crown in the setting position twice around for each day- sorry folks. No'quick set' on this oldie. This pocket watch was supplied to the War Department by Casella ... moreof London. Casella is a renowned jeweller's company) It is of a type that is associated with Royal Flying Corps. But it does not bear the usual Mark V reference or A over/|\ mark. This gives rise to me considering that this watch may have been fitted to an early pre WW1 aircraft, at a time when the WD had control of the fledgling army run air force. This of course was a short lived state, as the RFC was quickly formed from that begining. Cosmetically the case is in good condition with a nice patina. Showing some service wear but no dents. The hinges are firm and the case snaps shut tight, but there is a small amount of resistance when closing the back. The dial has a slight hairline. But is otherwise in good condition. This watch is a non runner as the balance is broken. Otherwise everything else appears to be okay. Hands set and the watch is fully wound. Hand setting is a tad on the stiff side and the watch is fully wound. It has been laying around untouched for many years in my

Original circa 1890's-1910 Mascot Crushed Cut Tobacco 2 1/8 inch diameter pocket mirror. We believe that the dog shown in the design is a French bulldog. But. We are not certain. This is an estate find mirror which has all original surfaces. The front of the pocket mirror appears in excellent condition when viewed straight on. When turned at an angle in the light there is good sheen to the surface. But. There is some minor surface wear. The colors are fresh& bright& there is no fading& there are no stains. There is a tiny 3/16 inch long hairline break in the celluloid between the dog's front& back legs. The pocket mirror has not been tampered with in any way. The surface of the original mirror insert on the back reflects well& there are only minute insignificant areas of wear. 1800's Pocket Suspension Balance Apothecary Scale. With it's own metal silk lined case. 2 brass(marked with"5 8" with the certified English lion symbol) weights. 5 white metal"coin" weights- marked as: one drachm. Two scruples. 1/2 drachm, one scruple, half scruple. A small silk tassel to is used to hold the scale. The brass pans are about 1.75" in diameter. Great item for a collector of antique scales and medical items. FYI: DRACHM: A unit of weight formerly used by apothecaries. Equivalent to 60 grains or one eighth of an ounce. SCRUPLE: unit of weight in the apothocaries system equal to 20 grains. Or 1/3 dram, equivalant to 1.296 grams. One drachma. The basic Greek silver unit consists of 3 scruples.

I am certainly no expert but after reading several sites on the internet. I think this piece is likely a"reproduction" or fake. The details on the flower are not very precise, the glaze is somewhat dull, and the leaf color does not extend down to the base. That said, the item does have weight to it and the visible white on the back has a creamy color to it. Shows the Roseville name in typical script and the number 1284-8 on back panel. Round hole for han g ing. Same deep blue on inside as visible on outside. Sound condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs. Bid accordingly. Questions welcome. Thanks for considering this item.
