Here’s an original WWII German Zielfernrohr 4-fach(ZF4) sniper scope as used on the G/K43 and other rifles. This one was made by Opticotechna GmbH in Prerau. Czechoslovakia as indicated by the dow code. This scope is not a post-WWII Czech made or marked scope. This scope is fully functional and both windage and elevation adjustors work fine. There are no cracks in any of its lenses. It has a well worn, but original finish. The optics on this scope are stunning—absolutely crystal clear. This scope also comes with what appears to be an original windage cap that features fine knurling, compared to the coarser knurling commonly found on reproductions. This is an original WWII production scope made by the classified factory#237 NKV Kazan. A quite interesting and rear sniper scope. Besides the Kazan factory logo. The scope has a serial number 4411583 engraved on its casing. First two figures indicate that the scope was made in 1944. This means that this scope is one of just 17224 PU(SVT) scopes produced in Kazan in 1944(only 3% of all PU scopes ever made) The scope comes with an original Izhevsk made side mount(Kochetov mount) and a side rail mount complete with all pins and screws needed. Original genuine leather lens caps and a canvas cover are also included. The mount has a few markings. I.e. the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant ... morelogo, various numbers and symbols. The original tin carrying case of the scope is in green color with some wear. Rust and some dents. No marks that I can see. The tin case measures 20.2 X 6 X 6 cm(7.95 x 2.36 x 2.36 inches) Condition: The scope is in fair condition, s howing some age& usage that are to be expected in a vintage piece- but nothing that detracts from its function. This very rare and unique scope is in overall good condition. The scope is still fully functional and is quite heavy. All of the knobs still work and everything can still be adjusted. The optics still work also. But they are a little dirty. It looks like that this scope was once mounted on some sort of artillery weapon or gun. 90% of the original desert tan camouflage paint is still intact. It seem to work OK but the wire mash on the main tub is a little damaged and only on that part. The optical part of this device works fine the best I can tell. the wire mash is a little smashed and has sharp loss strains. to be used as we have i would shrink wrap the outer cable? The damage to the outer cable appears to have not caused any internal damage.I purchased the scope from a naval air base auction and did not get any type of manual or spec sheet. But I can give you a little info from me just playing with it. The eye piece without the rubber cup is 1 1/2" across.The cable is 48" plus add 10" for the control unit.The cable coming out of the side is 59" and is the light source. Weather it be sunlight or another source like a flashlight, like I used. I think at some period of time it would have had a source that you could plug it into for light but the sunlight or just a flashlight seems to work just fine. I believe they were made during WW II, however this scope was purchased in June of 1955 from the PALLEY Supply co. the scope and mount come with the original advertising poster. The scope is marked: TELESCOPE M6 Ser#26091 E.K. CO. 1942 FM, the scope has some red paint that should clean off with little effort. The scope was mailed to a Mr. Lantz from Mt. Jewett Pa. Scope has a very unique cross hair in it. Colt 3x20 rifle scope
This is a Colt 3x20 rifle scope that is in good to very good condition. I believe that the scope is from the early 1970s and appeared to have been used very little before I bought it and I never used it my self since I bought it back somewhere near 1989. I used to have this scope on an early AR15(very early model SP1 from 1966) but sold it when NJ outlawed the rifle. I originally bought the scope as a nostalgic add-on piece for the SP1 rifle since that was the scope that I believe was the first scope to be used with the M16. The buyer of my AR15 did not want the scope because he was going to use the rifle for hunting and he wanted to put a high power scope on it(go figure) this scope is sold as-is and sale is final.
