Ein absolutes Profiteil, dass Ihnen lange Jahre Dienste leisten wird, Ihre Lieblinge weniger stresst als ein dunkler Pappkarton in den sie hinein gestopft werden und der sogar Ihren Tierarzt begeistern wird. Der Käfig ist gebraucht und zeigt entsprechende Spuren und an einigen Stellen kleine Rostansätze, hat allerdings keine großen Beschädigungen und funktioniert und hält einwandfrei. Er ist etwa 18cm hoch, 23 cm breit und etwa 16 cm tief. Der Dachboden soll weiter ausgebaut werden. Deshalb wurde er durchforstet. ORIGINAL WWII Japanese Navy Goggles, Dagger, and VET Capture Paper LOT & More
You are bidding on an Original LOT which includes Three(3) items; Japanese Navy pilot goggles with wiping cloth and box. Japanese Naval Dress Dagger, and the Veteran's Capture Papers. Item One(1) is a pair of Navy Pilot"Cat's Eye" goggles in excellent plus condition with the embossed"MAN" Manchurian Naval Depot) and Asahi(half sun) logos. The goggles are slightly fogged but with solid glass(no cracks or chips) With elastic strap and duo leather keepers in excellent plus condition. These goggles came with their original blue goggle wiping clothe and brown goggle box with"gold propeller anchor" logo that translates to"Eagle's Eye" manufacture brand goggles. The goggle box is in good plus condition with slight wear around the top rim of the box. But not torn, and the goggle box still maintains ... moreit's original closure string. I photographed these goggles for this ad display purpose(Navy flight helmet or mannequin not included with this auction) to reflect their excellent display quality. If you NOTE, the Australian news paper remnants dated"Saturday. August 12, 1944" were folded in between the goggles for protection at the time. Item Two(2) is a Navy Commissioned Officer's dress dagger which is in excellent plus condition. This dagger maintains bright and solid brass/copper fittings and sakuras(cherry blossoms) with a tight spirally wrapped gilded wire binding around a solid white same covered grip. The scabbard maintains a brown polished same which is also in excellent plus condition. The blade is highly polished and possibly plated with blood groove. The copper Habaki(metal collar) is highly polished. But reflects very slight disfiguring possibly from improper removal of the blade prior to my ownership. The scabbard maintains a brass push button release from the Hilt and ALL fits tight with no loose parts. This is the nicest Naval dagger I've ever owned. Item Three(3) is the original 5-1/2" x 7-3/4" capture paper for a"Sgt. Gull.

Vintage 1912 Decoration DayMemorial Patriotic Postcard USN Navy Vet Lays Wreath
You don't see many Decoration Day(now known as Memorial Day) postcards. Decoration day was a much bigger holiday at the early part of the century than it is now. This card is interesting in that from the uniform and the anchor design of the wreath it appears that a US Navy Vet is honoring one of his fallen mates. More interesting to think that in 1912 what naval engagements might have been fought- Spanish American War? The back of the card message is also interesting- it is being sent to Holstein Germany 2 years before the start of WW 1. It appears that the stamp has been removed from this old card and the paper is more thin in that area. But scene is all there. I ship only to USA. Please pay within 3 days of close of auction.

LAST CONFEDERATE VETERAN TO SERVE IN CONGRESS TO JOHN LISK WHO WAS ONE OF STONEWALL JACKSON'S PALLBEARERS This is a fantastic treasure. It is an original letter/correspondence sent by Charles Stedman to John Lisk in Nov. 1909. It comes in the nice custom frame shown in the picture. Stedman was a Captain in the Confederacy. A Lawyer, a NC Lt. Governor, served as President of the NC Railroad, and was the last Confederate veteran to serve in the U.S. Congress when he served the state of NC. The letter was written to another Confederate vet. John A. Lisk who was once a Captain in the Confederacy. Lisk was an historic fiqure unto himself as he was asked, by Stedman, to serve as one of the Pallbearers for the ... moregreat General Stonewall Jackson. The letter discusses the request and the fact that Lisk fulfilled the request. The letter also mentiones how Lisk went behind the Yankee lines to retrieve the body of a friend of Stedmans. Stedman was from Greensboro. NC while Lisk was from Mt. Gilead. This is a wonderful collectible and as well as a great piece of history. Issued by the District of Columbia Commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States(M.O.L.L.U.S. at Washington, D.C. Sep. 30, 1914; black mourning rule border. Two pages(single leaf, about 5 x 7-3/4 inches) Our scan shows the front page; the reverse gives sparse biographical details, mainly noting birth/death, enlistment, unit and promotion dates. George Henry French was born near Epping. New Hampshire in 1840 and was a 21-year-old clerk when he enlisted at Nashua NH in June 1861 as a Sergeant in the 12th Massachusetts. Then led by Col. FLETCHER WEBSTER. Son of the great statesman and orator Daniel Webster. Serving in Company B and then in Company H. French rose to 2nd Lieutenant(September 1862) 1st Lieutenant(December 1862) and was honorably discharged as ... moreof Nov. 14, 1863. This memorial modestly fails to mention that French was TWICE WOUNDED- first at ANTIETAM on Sep. 17. 1862, while the 12th Mass. was engaged in Miller’s(the“Bloody” Cornfield(where they encountered the Texas Brigade and killed successive color bearers of the 1st Texas Infantry. C.S.A. regimental history states that the 12th captured the colors, although other sources assert they were found by a Pennsylvania soldier) and second. At GETTYSBURG on July 1. 1863, so severely as to require amputation of his left arm(the 12th was engaged near Oak Hill on the extreme right of I Corps) French resigned on Oct. 28, 1863 to join the 13th Regiment, Veteran Reserve(Invalid) Corps; his appointment as 1st Lieutenant of the VRC, effective Oct. 24, 1863, was signed by President Abraham Lincoln on Aug. 1. 1864. Named 250 Page Lot CDR Matthew S. Schmidling USN USS Arizona Vet Rare Paper Lot
Here is a rare named or identified lot from mostly the 1930's. It belonged to Commander Matthew Stelzner Schmidling. A naval veteran of World War II and Korea. I have two separate lots of his I will be selling. This. Early career lot, and his USS Arizona papers in the next auction. I bought the entire lot so I could give some of the USS Arizona items to some USS Arizona vets, but due to unforeseen circumstances, that is no longer possible. This auction includes 250 pages of documents from the mostly the 1930's. The page count includes some one sided and some two sided. The auction includes letters from his father to both his Congressman and State Senator asking that his on get a chance to attend the Naval Academy. Included Congressman are D.J. O'Connell. Stephen Rudd, and William Coyle. It looks to be the entire correspondence. ... moreIt is out of order, so it will need to be gone over. There are also personal letters from Matthew and his family(around 75) a USS Stembel accident report. A letter of congratulations from Rear Admiral Chester C. Wood in 1958 for a new command, a United States Naval Academy boxing program, a laundry slip from the USNA, a naval etiqutte paper, procudures, an 8 page 1940 action report from the USS Canopus that talks a little about the war in Europe, and ships stuff, a letter of failure from 1930, from the Naval Academy, three notebooks from his classes, Naval Academy Department of Engineering and Aeronautics course book from 1928, a 7 1/2 page typed story by CDR Schmidling about the USS Stembel(The Black Sheep" and their actions againt the Japanese in the Pacific War, regimental orders 1931. There are also some misc academy papers thrown in. There is also a picture of him included, at what appears to be the Naval Academy. There are also a bunch of misc papers included. Hi: This Navy Officer's uniform came out of his estate.He was a Submarine Commander during WW2.And made seven patrols in the South China Seas. Was even aboard a sub that was hit by two friendly torpedos,but luckily they glanced off the sub,then went a distance,then exploded. The suit is with trousers. The jacket is about a 42,and the trousers are 34 W. x 29L.The only physical problem is with the pants watch pocket. It does need sewing. Other than being old,I see nothing wrong with it. Antique c late 1800s CIGAR BOX Made Sold by Civil War Vet JAMES WELCH Albany NY
For your Bidding consideration in this Auction is an antique. Circa late 1800's Cigar Box. Manufactured and sold by JAMES WELCH of Albany NY. In researching this Manufacturer, I found an on-line Ancestry dot com blog about Mr. Welch which revealed that he was a Civil War Vet who had served 3 Years in Company D 2nd NY Heavy Field Artillery and was Honorably Discharged after being disabled by a Gunshot wound to his left arm& shoulder at the BATTLE OF DEEP BOTTOM(not clear if it was the 1st Battle on July 27-29, 1864 or 2nd Battle on August 14-20, 1864) in Virginia. He would go on to become a Cigar Manufacturer and retailer and opened 2 Stores in Albany that he ran until his death at age 66 in 1908. This Cigar Box has a paper article in it lining the bottom which is dated 1896(regarding Hyacinths so un-related to Cigars but obviously ... moreput in after the Box had been sold and used for Cigar purposes) so I would dtae the box circa 1870- 1890 era. The Box is complete and measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" and I believe has all original hardware. I would guess mahogany for the wood but not certain. Hinges missing a few screws so lid is a bit loose but intact and complete. Note original Manufacturers label on base along with Tax( stamps.
