Vintage 1930 Portable Baughmanometer Mercury Blood Pressure Gauge/Desk Model 300
Vintage Mercury Sphygmomanometer Baumanometer Blood Pressure Machine 1931-1932 Used in WWII Although invented in 1917 and modified in 1921. This model is the second incarnation of the 1926 desk model. It has on its label, attached to the back metal plate of the machine, both patent numbers for 1926 and 1931. This instrument is in very good condition as a collector's item. There is good integrity of the paint and markings and the mercury for the column. It has all the original parts. The machine still works but we are uncertain how long it will continue to do so since its cuff has developed a slow leak and loses air. The cuff was. Itself, an innovation in taking blood pressure and should be retained by collectors even if it is replaced.
