Seven(7) used Stanley Vidmar tooling cabinets. Two have nine drawers. One has ten drawers, two have eleven drawers and two have twelve drawers. Four of them are are matching in color, the other three are different shades of green and all are in good shape. There are a lot of dividers in them as well. These came from the tool room of a factory that closed and were in use. They are used so they show signs of wear, scratches, and dents that could be expected from daily use but they are in good useable shape. There is one drawer handle that is missing on one of them and one had a drawer front that is slightly bent and should be easy to straighten and they could use a cleaning. Lefebure ten-drawer fire resistive industrial storage cabinet with sturdy fold-down locking front panels. The front panels push back into the top and bottom of the cabinet when not in use and have a lock that turns smoothly to locking position. Closing the front panels adds to the fire resistance of this cabinet. I don't have any keys but keys could easily be made for it. This unit is extremely heavy and built to last a lifetime. The drawer slides are strong. High quality and full extension. They roll very smoothly. Built in the U.S.A. I believe the cabinet belonged to a bank and was built in the 1970's or early 1980's. We got it from my brother-in-law who worked for Lefebure. It’s hard to find this style of organizer in this good of shape. No rust and other than a few scratches on drawers it has weathered time well! Comes with a few dividers. I don’t think they are originals. Small indentation on the top back. You can see it in the picture with the tape measure. This Vintage Akro-Mils 10-109 Storage Cabinet measures approximately 6.125" wide x 6.5" deep and 5" tall. It holds 9 clear plastic drawers which each measure about 5.875" deep x 2.75" wide and 1.25" tall. This cabinet has some minor scratches and blemishes in the plastic. Due to normal use. It has a minor crack in one of the plastic drawers, but it has no major cracks or structural issues. 10 Drawer Tool Storage Cabinet lista/Vidmar Heavy Storage Unit with dividers.
You're looking at a heavy duty Vista or Vidmar tool cabinet used in a large machine shop. Measurements: 54" H. 28" D, 28" W. This does not have rollers on the bottom. Each drawer has two roller bearings on each side for a total of 4 bearings on each drawer. This cabinet was built before 1990 when they built things to last! It weighs approximately 500 lbs empty. As shown in the pictures, it holds many different items with aluminum spacers for separation. Drawers come out of cabinet for moving. You probably can't see it from the photo but this cabinet has a 3/8" thick steel block welded on the top and bottom. There is a 3/4" hole in theses blocks meant to have a 3/4" rod going through the top and the bottom to secure all of the drawers. I do not have this rod. These originally sold for $2900.00 hundred ... moredollars back in the 80,s. This is built like a brick shit house. This would be a pick up item or I could deliver for a charge, up to a 100 mile radius. This was originally painted factory green. I sanded it all down and as you can see, painted it bright red and gray inside the drawers using many spray cans. Again, this is very well built and would require 3 or 4 people to move it with all of the drawers intact.This item is located near saratoga n. y. The newer ones have lighter steel.
