HEAVY DUTY STEEL OPEN FRONT STORAGE BINS - CUSTOM BUILT - 8'L X 5'H X 1'W
This was custom built by a small custom machine shop in York County- the shop made parts for Caterpillar years ago when they operated a plant in the county. It is very well constructed and built for endurance- no light weight tin on this. It has 22-12" x 12" openings and 9- 12" x 24" openings. It has never been painted- has some areas of light rust. Items on shelf are not included- I didn't think to blow off the dust that is why there are light and dark shapes on the shelves. Antique Heavy Duty Industrial Equipto Aurora Large Storage Cabinet Bin System
Vintage Equipto Aurora. Illinois Industrial Heavy Duty 4 section apx. 74 Bin/Shelve parts, supplies, tools, etc. system. Apx. 6Ft. tall, 4Ft wide, 2Ft deep, very solid metal. All pieces look to be riveted even the handles. THEY JUST DO NOT PRODUCE THIS KIND OF QUALITY THIS DAY AND AGE. All types of extras in the design from the neat looking handles, to the embossed Equipto name brand, to the specialized tagging/labeling slots. I am guessing this was made around the 1940s-1960s but i could be off. Out of my experiance of dealing with high end antique tools, toolboxes, and so on that the U.S. metal used is of a far superior quality of anything around. Probaly the best made, fabricated, designed, looking, industrial space utilization/storage/organization/cabinet/bin system available on the market past, present, or to come. After apx. 107 yrs ... moreof doing something you tend to master the trade. All drawers pull out and work fine. Comes with plenty of dividers for inside of drawers. I noticed that the Equipto Brand Name looks to be Embossed 100s of times from on the sides, fronts of each slide out drawer, multiple other places, and even on the inside of the cabinets. That alone speaks of the time, pride, and not to mention the extreme extra cost of doing something like that. Also lots of specialized labeling space on fronts and dividers. Also I dont think I have seen not 1 ding or dent on the whole unit. There does look to be some very minimal rusting in certain spots. The fact of no dents and extreme minimal body work needed would make this a very easy or cheap restoration project, not that it needs it, I myself like the vintage look. I can only imagine how many wonderful projects were completed using this organization system over the decades. Like I was saying earlier all the drawers seem to slide with ease, and the whole unit looks really good, especially considering it hasnt been oiled or cleaned in at least 20 years. Then a center door was custom fabricated and added to the left side to add an additional swing out wall with peg board on both sides. While most boxes are measured in square inches of storage; this one could be measured in square feet!
