These are four unusual and interesting tape measures. The pink and white stripe and the green and silver stripe were made in Japan. They both have foil backings. But are different. The yellow and blue is made of tin and one end has a little rust spot. It was made in Japan. The fourth, a cream color irredescant tape was made in Germany. The four are similiar and yet they are very different. A nice variation to a sewing collection. Three are square in the same design using different materials. They all work. This PMT. Made by Adit, has a magnificent dynode string, and is the standard model I use to replace bad tubes of all types. They are of much higher quality than pretty much any other PMT, and are so easily adapted for niche applications and replacements that I don't really use any other type. These are attached to a base made with solidly mounted surface mounted components. It's wired to a 5 megOhm potentiometer, which allows for gain adjustment without changing the voltage on your Geiger counter. Included in this package is a lengthy roll of aluminum foil tape; one roll can easily wrap a dozen tubes. It's pretty much a must-have for any scintillation experiment fan. It's very thin, completely occlusive to light, and is the easiest(and best) reflector/lining I have used. It's kind of hard to believe there was a point when ... moreI didn't use this stuff. The tubes are clear. No scratches, tested and working. They have thick wire leads and can be used with bases that aren't standard. I generally take the extra 30 seconds to put pins on the wires after I trim them, but that really isn't even necessary. They are manufactured near the Ludlum plant in Texas. Because they are used in many ludlum products. Instead of pins, the connector is thick but malleable wire, so it will fit in to non-standard or standard sockets. The tubes are already connected to top quality surface mount component sockets, have an extremely useful gain potentiometer wired in, and are ready to use. Seal the tube in with a scintillator of your choice, and you have a probe. The highest quality probe you can make, because this tube is just amazing! I have never once experienced a problem with domestic sales. And I can't quite figure out what is happening here, but I would rather not stop international sales but will have to stop, by no choice of my own. Description: Early Pair of cloth measuring tapes. They both have a curved top and bottom with different underpinnings. The gold foild is particularlly neat and reminds me of beauty parlor upholstery from the 1950's. Gold tape is marked made in USA on cloth tape. Pearlized tape is marked"Made in USA" on exterior steel shell as shown in 2nd photo. Tape retracts well on both. Measure 1.5" in diameter. Pearl tape has small crack on interior(next to button) as shown in photo 1. Provenance: Originated from an EXTENSIVE collection of thimbles. Sewing kits& cases from a dealer's estate.
