Vintage TEAC A-3300S Reel-to-Reel Tape Deck up for grabs. It will play but has some issues and is being sold AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR WITH NO RETURN. Here's what I know. The deck will play but you have to manually push the pinch roller up to make contact with the capstan when you engage play. Once done it stays but you have to push it back down to FF or RR. The FF seems to be works but the rewind is weak at times and sometimes has to be unstuck to get started. The capstan motor is strong and the deck sounded good when playing an old studio tape I had laying around. I have not tested the record functions as I do not have a blank tape. Also one VU meter needs a new light and the power cord is not original and was modded to work with the deck. Overall the deck looks nice but is a project or parts deck. Packing will be top notch. 1981 Sony WM-F1 FM Stereo Cassette Walkman Tape Player Japan- Needs Repair When I put batteries in and a cassette tape. The tape played well for about a minute with good sound. Then it quit and most likely it needs a new belt. The radio played when I checked it and then quit. By moving the switch from tape to radio and back and forth a few times I got the radio to play again momentarily and it stopped again. The battery compartment is generally clean but has obvious signs in the past a battery had leaked. It comes without four AA batteries. Please buy it for parts or repair.

For sale is this vintage Nakamichi 680ZX 3-head cassette deck. Cosmetically the unit is in excellent condition; see the photos. Functionally. The unit fast forwards and rewinds just fine, but the unit does not play. The LED meters work but are intermittent, and all other lights are working properly. I also thought I'd mention that the unit does not have"feet" on the bottom, and there is a small white sticker missing on the Eq lever. The headphone jack, tape counter, and cassette door also work fine. This is a legendary cassette deck with the classic Nakamichi transport. I have another one of these units that is functional, it has tons of headroom and sounds great. Sony TC-WE435 Dual Tape Player I am the original owner of this tape deck and it has worked well for many years. Recently the recording deck stopped playing and when I checked it I found that the recording head was loose and rotated 90 degrees. The other deck works fine-plays. Reverses, fast forwards and rewinds with no problem. The sound also is still good, with Dolby noise reduction and settings for different tape types. No scratches or marks on the face or case. This deck is a bit more robust than most Sony decks. I was able to find a working replacement on ebay and am offering this to someone who may be able to repair this and enjoy it a bit longer(or relist it on ebay? You ard bidding on a used Realistic 999 3 head stereo reel to reel tape recorder. This unit is in very clean cosmetic shape and is suitable for repair or restoration. The unit powers up and the fan and motor operate. It does go into record mode as shown in picture 5. But will not record. Reels will move in play mode on an very intermittent basis. Unit produced clear audio and meters moved during tape motion so the electronics work. Manually pulling tape across heads will produce audio. No fast forward or rewind. Heads are in good shape, see picture 10. Nice clean metalwork and wood cabinet. Includes reel hold downs. Tape reels not included, for illustration only. Sold as-is, no warranty or returns. Akai GX-285D Reel to Reel Tape Deck - For Repair or Parts
This deck is in good overall condition. I've been using it for the past year with no problems. When I first brought the machine home and started using it the tape speed was inconsistent but after using it for a while the speed became constant. I've used it now for the past year without any issues. Now that it as set for a while unused the speed problem is back. After I play a tape or two through it everything starts to work fine again. Not sure what could be affecting the speed control. It acts like there is old grease that needs to be loosened up after it has sat unused for a while but I can not find anyplace that seems to depend on grease. So it must be something else. Therefore this is being sold"FOR REPAIR or PARTS. Anyway the only other issues are one of the meters has a light burned out(must be two in each meter because ... morethe meter has some lighting in it) The Dolby NR switch is broken(in ON position I think) I think it is a mechanical issue because when I push the switch I hear a change but the switch will not stay in the depressed position. I've cleaned and demagnetized the heads recently and cleaned some of the switches with Deoxit but don't have the knowledge to tear into the innards to do much more to it. So I guess someone with more knowledge needs to take it from here. Cosmetically everything is nice and clean. The corners of the case are a little chipped(but not very noticeable) The tape direction switches show some wear or dirt(maybe they will clean up nicely but I have not tired)
