This auction is for a fully re-padded and ready to play Selmer Bundy tenor saxophone. It is a first generation Bundy. With the bell keys on the left side. It is quite a different sax than the more commonly seen Bundy II. These are essentially the same basic design as the classic Buescher Aristocrat pro models. Selmer inherited that design when they bought out Buescher in 1965 and, in fact, continued making identical saxophones under both the Bundy and Aristocrat names. These were probably the most common horns out there in the 1960's and 70's, but they are still very relevant today. In many respects I like these better than a lot of modern student model horns, particularly a lot of ... morethe junk that has been coming out of the far east. I think these tend to have a fatter sound and when properly set up play just as easily as a new horn, yet are built more solidly. This one is fully set up and ready to play. It has all new pads with plastic button resonators. Each pad has been painstakingly adjusted so that it seals perfectly with the lightest touch both individually and in combination with other keys as applicable. The keys that hit in combination have been meticulously timed so that there is no'lost motion' It has all new key corks and felts. Plus teflon added to friction spots to improve the action. The neck cork has been replaced with a compression resistant composite cork. The end result is that the sax plays easily from top to bottom with a very robust tone as you can hear in the attached demonstration video of this actual instrument. Physically this sax is in overall good condition. But at 35+ years old naturally it has taken a few bumps and has some wear. There are no major dents, but there are a few small dings and one slightly flattened spot on the bow as can be seen in the pictures. There are a handful of very minor pings elsewhere. This sax h

There is a air of quality about this teapot trivet that would be used for formal dining table or for display. I believe it to be rare as I didn't find similar products on internet sites dealing with trivets. The trivet measures 5 1/4" long and is 3 1/2" wide.
