The inside of the projector does have an old electronic smell to it. I did clean the unit carefully yet was unable to fully eliminate the odor. The sides of the case and especially the corners are cosmetically worn and scratched a fair amount. The overhead functions perfectly. It does not come with any overhead bulbs. The mount is adjustable in height by rack& pinion gear but will need a knob or similar to replace the missing original. I do not know how to operate this projector. It looks in flawless condition and I'm assuming it works fine. It could need a lightbulb or 2 replaced. Comes with travelers sleeve that goes over projector with handle protruding out for carrying. Everything with projector is here And not missing. Comes with owners manual. Like I said I could not get it to turn on but I'm 90% sure I didn't set it up right Nd it will not turn on unless it is. Or it could need a light bulb or fuse. Here is an overhead projector that I bought locally some years ago; I used it a few times and since then it has been in storage. I just tested it and lamp is working. Fan works good too. No broken glasses or lenses. However the fresnel lens has a couple of tiny hairline scratches in the center of it, one is about 2" and the other is about 1" long. One bulb needs replacing but the projector is plenty bright without it. The glass screen is free from scratches or cracks but show signs of wear. Need an LCD screen with no backlight? I thought this would be perfect for my"brilliant" idea of making a digital matte box. But it turned out that you can't photograph through an LCD matrix. My next thought was to remove the giant internal fan(it is designed to sit on overhead projectors) and make it into a handheld Nintendo 64. One problem.no skillz. Perhaps you can find a use? An analog/digital shadow puppet show? Wooden 3D carved signs with changing pricing letters or something? It seems to accept Composite, SVHS Svideo, and 640x480 VGA resolutions. This unit allows you to display from the unit to the video in on your TV. Click for the OPERATIONAL MANUAL. The unit is compact and easy to use. The unit comes with NO cables but the POWER CORD. I was able to display an image from the unit to my poor old tired shop TV. I displayed a paper map and a transparency using the overhead and base lamps. It uses a 4 watt fluorescent bulb. Which currently works, but NOT warranted. None of the plastics appear broken. And looks good cosmetically. All of the control buttons appear to work as expected. WARRANTED NO DOA.
