I've searched quite a bit and haven't found anything quite like this. My understanding is that different metals can use different formulations of flux to help with bonding. Metal flow, etc. This very old flux pot has four individual chambers. Three of them have raised lettering"A" B" and"C" Nothing on the fourth section. It's a two piece cover that can rotate to each chamber while keeping the others covered. The bottom has raised lettering which reads"FLUX POT SCHLAFER HARDWARE CO APPLETON WIS PAT APPL FOR" Schlafer was a hardware store here that was in business downtown from at least 1908 through the 1950's. I thought it unusual a piece like this would have a local store name embossed on it. A different age for sure. Diameter of the top is 4 1/2" The base at its widest is 5 1/4. It needs a new pre filter as well as another filter at end,but those can be self made even. The filter inside of this is basically the size of the unit itself. after the 2 pre filters,it has a multiple layer filter system that then goes thru activated carbon,then it goes out the muffler for a quiet exhaust. It has Dual 3" intake inlets. I am throwing in 2 pieces of 3" corrugated grey hose,1 is approx 6' and other, about 4' with nice hose clamps, also have 1 cap for a inlet as well as 2 different hood fittings.
