From a state surplus sale. We have here a Hoshizaki KM1200SWE ice machine. Serial number indicates it was made around January of 1998. This is from the clearing auction of a convention center/arena in Omaha that is being prepped for demolition. This is a water cooled model, and I do not have a water hookup in my warehouse space anywhere near the 240v outlet. As such, I could not actually test it. I was told by the facilities manager for the building that they last used the machine this June(2014) the last time they had a convention in that space. Hoshizaki ice machine crescent cuber 1300 lbs with stainless bin
You can see in the picture that the top panel is badly deformed; however. I will try to make or get another cover for it so that you have something presentable. In any case, once the machine is placed on the bin, the top will be up above 6 feet and out of sight anyways. The bin you see in the picture does have feet; I simply unscrewed them to make it easier to load on and off my trailer. I do also have the door to the bin; I just left it off so that it wouldn't blow off while riding down the road in my trailer. Everything works great on this machine; it makes piles of ice as it should. The only thing I noticed is the condenser fan motor has a lot of play, so I will replace that before I sell it to you, as I do not want that to become an issue later. I know the photos kind of make this thing look like a piece of junk the way it is just ... moresitting there in my trailer on blocks(to compensate for unlevel ground so I could run the machine for a bit) but it is actually a very nice machine once it is installed in place with all its covers. I will try to get someone to help me put it back up onto its bin later and get some better pictures of it so you see what it will really look like. But as you can see in the pictures, this machine has not been abused. The top cover blew off on the highway; that's the only reason why that is messed up. Nothing happened to the rest of the machine. The compressor sounds great, the water pump sounds great, everything except for the condenser fan, which I will replace before sale. Any time you are shopping for a used ice machine, you want to pay extra special attention to the condition of the evaporator plate, because that is the main part of any ice machine that is usually far too expensive to replace, and it usually goes bad before the compressor does anyways. With this style of ice machine, a Hoshizaki, what eventually starts to happen, but usually not until after 10-15 years, is the stainless steel portion of the plate begins to separate from the copper refrigeration tubing, which

1300 pound Hoshizaki ice machine
You can see in the one picture that the top panel is bent up; however. This is only a cosmetic issue, and once the machine is placed on the bin the top will be up above 6 feet and out of sight anyways. The bin is NOT included in this listing, but I do have one available, which will be listed shortly. Everything works great on this machine; it makes piles of ice as it should. The only thing I noticed is the condenser fan motor has a lot of play, so I will replace that before I sell it to you, as I do not want that to become an issue later. I know the photos kind of make this thing look like a piece of junk the way it is just sitting there in my trailer on blocks(to compensate for unlevel ground so I could run the machine for a bit) but it is actually a very nice machine once it is installed in place with all its covers. I will try to get someone ... moreto help me put it back up onto its bin later and get some better pictures of it so you see what it will really look like. But as you can see in the pictures, this machine has not been abused. The top cover blew off on the highway; that's the only reason why that is messed up. Nothing happened to the rest of the machine. The compressor sounds great, the water pump sounds great, everything except for the condenser fan, which I will replace before sale. Any time you are shopping for a used ice machine, you want to pay extra special attention to the condition of the evaporator plate, because that is the main part of any ice machine that is usually far too expensive to replace, and it usually goes bad before the compressor does anyways. With this style of ice machine, a Hoshizaki, what eventually starts to happen, but usually not until after 10-15 years, is the stainless steel portion of the plate begins to separate from the copper refrigeration tubing, which leads to inefficient operation and eventually rendering the machine inoperable.
