This assembly fits the military MEP 002 and MEP003 generators by several manufacturers using the Onan engine. It does not include the hoses. The filter cartridges or the fuel screen. Military Generator MEP 016B 701A Frequency Transducer - Technology Research Corp
MEP 701A 016B Frequency Transducer. This unit is inside the control box and senses the frequency and sends the signal to the frequency gage mounted on the panel. If your frequency gage is not functioning and the gage is good then this is the item you need to replace. When the frequency gage does not read or does not read accurately. Or drifts as the unit warms up then this is the component to replace. This transducer takes 120 volt A/C from the convenience outlet circuit(T1-T3 generator coil) and outputs a 0- 200 micro Amps to the panel gage. 200 micro amps output at 65 Hz. MEP 016B and MEP 701A 3kw generator external engine wire harness. Generator external engine wiring harness complete with connectors. Condition is good and serviceable. There is some dirt or soot on it making the white color appear dingy. One of the wires that is not used and has the standard cap on its end is worn through. Easy to tape up or repair. All of the terminals and plugs are good. The outer plastic clear coat insulation is in good condition throughput and shows no wear or cracks other than the one un used wire mentioned above. These relays sell new for $150.00 EACH and sell for $50+/ each used on Ebay. I mention this because the 4 relays alone are worth much more than my price on the whole board. Good buy if you want spare relays or need one of these commonly used relays for another project. The board is fully functional EXCEPT THE CR14 DIODE is blown. Vintage Onan 10 L2 Generator 1000 Watt,
Here is a piece from my garage I would like to pass on. This(believe 1942) Onan generator is a single cylinder cast iron engine and very heavy. The engine is a rope start and produces approx 1000 watt output. I carried it many times to engine shows as an electrical source for lighting and a small heater. But it is getting challenging to tote this beast around. Usually starts within 3 pulls. I am fully aware that you can get lighter chinese generators with more output for a bit more money. But they will most likely not work anymore after 70 years. It should however appeal to an engine or vintage machinery collector who appreciates a solid pieces or American engineering. It is mounted on a little skid. But requires 2 people to carry. It has been refurbished a couple years back, except the tank. I believe the petcock is the only item which is ... morenot original. Even the oil bath air filter housing is still there and complete. Due to weight. I will not ship with USPS, FEDEX or UPS. Optional I can get this on a pallet and ship with Fastenal store to store(probably $ 125) Or try some of the Ushippers which roam the country side for almost next to nothing. Obviously you can also pick it up in person(during payment) which I would prefer.
