ice machine SCOTSMAN CME-1202AE, air cooled 208-230v, works!
Here we have a Scotsman CME-1202AE commercial ice machine. In working order. I got it at the clearing auction of a convention center/arena in Omaha. This is an air cooled machine, so even though I have no water supply near my 240v outlet, I was able to test it by manually filling the water sump from a bucket, and it does indeed work. All the ice columns released well before the thaw cycle was over, so I think the plating is fine. I included a closeup picture. The solenoid also correctly detects obstruction and shuts down the machine after the thaw cycle, and also starts up again if you remove the obstruction. The one thing I could not test was the water inlet solenoid(since I was not getting the water through that line) So, it's possible the solenoid could be non-functional, but it's not an expensive part. I did notice the water inlet ... moreopening on the back, where you would connect the supply line, was pretty heavily mineralized, so you might also want to do a good cleanout of the water supply line. I have three other machines as well. One of which also works, the other two seem to do everything but cool. I think that either the fan control sensors are bad, or the refrigerant pressure is low. If you're interested in those machines as well, let me know, we can make a good package deal. I have a water cooled Hoshizaki machine as well(listed separately) And beyond that. I imagine these bins are meant to hold up to 1300 lbs of ice, since the machines that were on them were spec'ed to make 1200 lbs of ice. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with some marks and scratches from normal kitchen use. Please see pictures below for more information on the condition of this item. We were able to power this unit on by wiring into our 230VAC power supply. We then connected a water supply to the ice machine for further testing. After starting the freeze cycle with the controller the machine ran through a complete cycle and ice was produced. Please note that we did not test this ice machine over a long period of time. I recently acquired multiple pieces of equipment from a closed down candy/ice cream shop. I kept a smaller ice maker that makes cubes for my use but did not need this one. I had to buy all as a package deal. Seems to function perfectly with only minor scratches and scrapes. The sides of the unit look really new. As well as the front. A"coke" sticker was added at some point but can be peeled off easily. Comes with a scoop too. Includes all 4 legs that are removable. Has a plexiglass door that slides to access the ice bin.
