Up for auction is a very nice Rotary type Phase converter made by Roto-Phase here is the USA. This is a older unit with a few scuffs. But no damage. I bought it about 5 years ago, and had the motor re-built with all new bearings. It has had light use since then. It runs quiet and strong. I have since sold the 3-phase tools from my home shop and down-sized. I no longer need this piece of equipment. This converter is wired up with a 220 volt heavy duty extension cord. Just plug it in, hook up your equipment and turn it on. It will run up to a 7 1/2 hp single motor. And up to 20 hp. combined. This converter is too heavy(over 400 lbs. for me to ship. This is for local pick-up only. But I have an engine hoist, and I can help you load.

20 hp rotary phase converter with starter motor
20 hp rotary phase converter. For converting single phase 208/220/240 VAC to 3 phase. This converter is cosmetically challenged. But is made from high quality components and is built to last. It was used lightly for 1.5 years until I moved into a shop that has 3 phase power and no longer need it. The phases are balanced to within ~ 5 vac of each other. I had no problem running my CNC milling machines with them. Includes a running indicator light, emergency off switch and keyswitch. Starter motor gets the larger motor spinning, which works nicer than capacitor start models. Uses a A.O. Smith 20 HP 3 phase motor. It is a great running converter on a very sturdy frame that can be moved around with a pallet jack.

I'm selling my 40 hp rotary phase converter. I used this to run my 30 hp wide belt sander. Can also be used on cnc machinery. The converter has less than 30 hours on it and has been cycled on and off less than 20 times. I'll also include a 200 amp disconnect. I might consider delivery for fuel cost only. Just ask. Up for sale is one used Arco Electric"Roto- Phase" rotary phase converter. Made in the USA. Model PKT. 230 volts 1 phase input, 230 volt 3 phase output. Largest single motor starting capacity 30 HP, maximum multiple motor load 75 HP. No load amps 18. I purchased this phase converter used several years ago and used it occasionally to test machines I was working on. The largest motors I ran were 20 hp and it worked perfectly. The bearings were getting sloppy sounding so I had Longo Electric in Wharton NJ go through the converter. They took it apart and cleaned out all the dust and gunk, installed new bearings, and replaced one of the capacitors. It was then bench tested and worked fine. Service came to over $900. I no longer have need for this large converter so I am selling. It is bolted to a skid and ready to go. I have a forklift ... moreand will load onto your vehicle for free. I prefer local pick up but if you wish to have it shipped you must work out the trucking arrangements and have the trucking company call me to schedule a pick up time. I have for sale a Arco Rotophase Model HD2 phase converter for converting single phase to 3phase power. I purchased this to use with a air compressor but didn't realize that I needed a bigger model because of air compressors being hard starting. This model is for up to 2hp 3phase motors. Good for mills, saws, etc, basically any 3phase motor that doesn't start under a load, can run up to 9hp at the same time, example can run 4 2hp 3phase motors at the same time. Arco is one of the best models you can buy. Sadly it just isn't the right model that I needed, so I purchased a bigger model.
