You are bidding on a LOT OF 7 HEAVY-DUTY WORKHORSE CARRIAGE CLAMPS(C-CLAMPS) Made in the U.S.A. These are NOT your machine shop prima donnas. That you'd hesitate to expose to swinging hammers and flying sparks! This is a rough-and-ready set of clamps that's seen plenty of action in a welding shop. And has many more years of faithful service ahead. Whatever you need them to do, they can take it! Description and Condition Details: This is a set of 7 functional. Made-in-the-U.S.A. heavy duty c-clamps in WELL USED condition. There is some normal surface oxidation. But no evidence that the clamps have been neglectfully exposed to moisture(e.g. flooded or left out in the weather) There are some marks and beads from stray welding sparks. Also, there are some"flea bites" on a couple of the anvils/swivels, possible from getting nicked ... moreby a cutting torch. None of the above affects the clamps' functionality. Most of the handles are a bit bent from normal use. But can be easily straightened with a good hammer and anvil if desired. Except where stated otherwise. All the clamps have(a) their swivel(though some are replacement swivels) b) a screw that travels the entire length with no problem, and(c) a correct swivel-to-anvil alignment. Up for auction is lot of eight Hartford Clamp co. Six are the larger no. 3c and the oth two are 2c. All in used condition the smaller two of the 2c are heavy users the top bar has bends to it. The other six are in overall better shape. Some staining in the metal and light surface rust. The wooden handles have some splits but nothing major, also marked TR on the ends. This is an older Armsrong No. 2 bridge clamp. As you can see from photo I added a shim plate years ago. It used to open to 2" now opens to 1-3/4. It closes to 3/8. The forcing screw is very good. No country of manufacture marked. Also included: this unusual heavy duty mounting clamp made to mount something on a metal pipe. Pole, angle iron, round or square stock, etc. It has better than 2 inches capacity with a lock down bolt. 2 Grand 6 Ash Heavy Duty Clamps
I got these clamps at a moving sale and have never personally used them. I spun the threaded part on both of them about a half an inch. One has some resistance and didn't spin smoothly and stopped so it may have problems with the threads and need to be repaired. I spun them by hand only. Not with a wrench. Beyond that I haven't done any testing on either one of them so I'm selling them as untested. One needs to be repaired and the other one may or may not work like its supposed to. They're dirty and could use a good cleaning. As far as condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look. One weighs approx 18 1/4 lbs. and the other one weighs approx 19 1/4 lbs.
