This unit is in good used condition and should function as originally intended by the manufacturer. There are some marks to the plastic facing and sides and but they will not affect this unit when it is in operation. The Voltage knob had been broken off at one time and it was repaired with a metal rod and some glue that didn't hold. All the buttons on the front are in good shape. The back of the unit looks nice with no damage. The input power terminal board cover is missing though. California Instruments Model 503-T AC Power Source w/ 800T Precision Oscillator Here is a used and tested California Instruments Model 503-T AC Power Source. It will come with an 800T Precision Oscillator plug in and the instruction manual. We tested this item in our warehouse. We do not have an AC Load in house so these are just output and waveform readings. We found that the A Leg has a distorted AC signal. Especially at low voltage and frequencies. After opening the item up we found that the A Leg circuit card assembly had fallen out of its card slot and had actually arced over to the B Leg CCA. It looks like a quick one time deal.the components in the area of the arc on the A Leg card are a surface mount transistor, a resistor, and an inductor. All super easy components to replace and this should smooth out the signal. The B and C Leg ... moreoutputs looked spot on as far as wave shapes go. Please see pictures for details on the wave shapes and the damage to the A Leg CCA from the arc. We also found that sometimes the 800T Oscillator did not want to produce oscillations between 2kHz to 20kHz. And we tapped the module to get it to work. So the contacts will need a professional cleaning. Cosmetically this unit is in good used condition. There are scratches dings and scuffs on all of the outer panels. There are marks that prove it was rack mounted. There is some sticker residue from the stickers the calibrating show placed over the screws to keep calibration valid. The top panel has some ripple to it. However. None of these small cosmetic issues will affect how the unit operates. This is a heavy and fragile instrument. We will only be shipping this item via freight to ensure that it is not flipped upside down and damaged further during shipping. We will place it in a very large box and palletize it. The oscillator will be removed from the unit and boxed separately prior to shipping. Once you receive the item we recommend that you open the lid and make sure teh CCA's are in their proper slots to avoid the arcing issu

This was took out of production in 2012 and was stored until now on top of the unit it says good supply it worked fine then but has not been used since. Cosmetically it is in good shape. Click to Enlarge) Product ID# C114111 This California Instruments 251TCA Invertron AC Power Source(Input: 48-65Hz. 105-125VRMS, 950W Max; Output: 45Hz-5kHz, 0-270VRMS, 250VA) with 850T-1 Precsion Oscillator Plug-In(45Hz-5kHz) looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some minor signs of wear. When I first plugged it in, it powered up just fine, and I was able to adjust the voltage output meter needle using the"Amplitude" knob, but I left it powered up for a few minutes while I cleaned the supply, and took some notes, and then all of a sudden, the On/Off breaker on the front flipped off, and I have been unable to get it to power back up since. Every time the breaker is flipped back to On, the"Power" and"Limit" lights flash for a second, but then the breaker flips back Off again. I think it may be a problem ... morewith the breaker itself, because I took the top cover off of the supply, and you can see a spark flash inside the breaker every time it is flipped back On, which I was able to capture with my camera(please see photos above for detail) However, this is the extent of my testing of this supply, and it is being sold as-is.
