California Instruments Model 503-T AC Power Source w/ 800T Precision Oscillator Here is a used and tested California Instruments Model 503-T AC Power Source. It will come with an 800T Precision Oscillator plug in and the instruction manual. We tested this item in our warehouse. We do not have an AC Load in house so these are just output and waveform readings. We found that the A Leg has a distorted AC signal. Especially at low voltage and frequencies. After opening the item up we found that the A Leg circuit card assembly had fallen out of its card slot and had actually arced over to the B Leg CCA. It looks like a quick one time deal.the components in the area of the arc on the A Leg card are a surface mount transistor, a resistor, and an inductor. All super easy components to replace and this should smooth out the signal. The B and C Leg ... moreoutputs looked spot on as far as wave shapes go. Please see pictures for details on the wave shapes and the damage to the A Leg CCA from the arc. We also found that sometimes the 800T Oscillator did not want to produce oscillations between 2kHz to 20kHz. And we tapped the module to get it to work. So the contacts will need a professional cleaning. Cosmetically this unit is in good used condition. There are scratches dings and scuffs on all of the outer panels. There are marks that prove it was rack mounted. There is some sticker residue from the stickers the calibrating show placed over the screws to keep calibration valid. The top panel has some ripple to it. However. None of these small cosmetic issues will affect how the unit operates. This is a heavy and fragile instrument. We will only be shipping this item via freight to ensure that it is not flipped upside down and damaged further during shipping. We will place it in a very large box and palletize it. The oscillator will be removed from the unit and boxed separately prior to shipping. Once you receive the item we recommend that you open the lid and make sure teh CCA's are in their proper slots to avoid the arcing issu
