This motor has what looks to be a 5/8" shaft. Looking directly at the shaft when plugged in. The motor turns COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. There are only 2 wires inside the electric box and you ARE NOT able to reverse the polarity. I purchased this motor because I thought my compressor motor was going bad. But discovered it was a bad belt. I no longer have a use for it so I am offering it here for what I paid for it. It is a used 3/4 HP Single Phase Induction Motor in nice condition and RUNS GREAT& QUIET. It is 110 Volts. 60 Hertz, 1700 RPM and made in China. The power cord is included. This is a DAYTON Electric Motor Model 2N8657. It is rated at 1/2 hp& 1425 rpm. It has a 5/8" shaft with a 3/16" key. The frame is a 56. I am not an electric motor expert so I added photos of the specification labels of this motor as there is some contradictory information concerning the Hertz and the rpm. As for the condition. I have no definitive knowledge of the history of this motor. However, other than a little dust it appears to be in really nice shape. I can't say it is new but I would say that it is somewhere from new to lightly used. Feel free to send us any questions.
