So, unless you live in a very windy area, you probably won't be able to charge a 12V system with this motor as a wind turbine You just can't spin it fast enough in a modest wind to get it to generate 12Vdc while it is connected to a load(charging battery) ... moreBut. It should work fine for a 6 volt system. What this motor will also really work great for is as a variable speed motor turning a mill or a lathe. You'll have to invest a few $$$ in a decent motor controller- but you'll find that these work great. And.
