For sale one used Permanent magnet treadmill motor. DC 130vdc 2HP. The flywheel has been removed so it will fit in a medium flat rate priority box. The flywheel and mounting hardware is included with the sale and will be shipped in same box. To re-install flywheel simply spin the flywheel back onto the motor threads and hold the shaft at the other end with a pair of vice grips. There are youtube videos if you need assistance. Available: DC motor 24V. By Ohio Electric. Treadmill motor. About 17 inches long and 6 inches in diameter, rated at 2.8 hp@ 130 volts DC. I tested the item with 12V battery, turned at a fairly low rpm with lots of torque. The item weighs 30 pounds. This would propel a small go kart with maybe 4 batteries. Would be an interesting project. You would have to control the speed with relays adding the voltages, maybe low medium and high, with a clutch of some sort to soften between shifts. These are also used with a diode to generate wind power. I have used rechargeable wheel chair batteries if anybody is interested. Not sure if shipping is allowed on those.
