The shaft is 7/8" diameter. This motor has a 184C face mount as well as well as a mounting base. There is also a tachometer mounted to the back end of the motor. I gave it a test run in my shop and it tests and runs fine. I looked at the brushes and they still have 90% of their life remaining.very little wear)The tachometer puts out 7 volts DC at 1000 rpm. Up for bid is a big. Heavy Pacific Scientific 2 HP 180V DC 9.2 Amp motor. Catalog listing ST5372-3724-45BC. 1750 RPM. Date code of 8505. Shaft is 2" long and rusty. Motor had been stored in a shed, but was still attached to cardboard on the base and wrapped in pallet wrap. I know nothing else about this motor except what is stated, and therefore motor is being sold as is. Cardboard/wrap was dusty/dirty so it was disposed of. Motor itself is clean. Motor weighs approx 78# as is. Shaft is 7/8" wide and has key that is still taped in place like it was brand new. Mounting plate on bottom is 5" at max with motor length, 6" at max across motor. Shows no signs of paint removed on mounting base. Overall motor is approx 18" long without the shaft. Electrical leads appear new. I did hook a 12V car battery up to it for a second ... moreto see if it turned and it did. Shaft spins freely but does have a"winding" type of sound. Not sure if that is normal with DC motors of this size or not. Please look over pictures. I hate to send this to the scrap yard but the weight will definitely affect the shipping price.
