Ohio(1920-1957 then taken over by Reliance) Can be wired for 115 or 230 Volts AC 7.4/3.7 Amps Single Phase. 60cycles 1725 RPM Tested at 120V and runs well. Came from a Early 1950s Delta 8" saw/ 4" jointer setup. Not sure if his was a motor offered by Delta or if the original owner bought it somewhere else. In any case. It is an extremely well built motor. It appears to have a reverse slide control in the brush compartment(see picture 11) But I haven't figured out how to slide it-it could be just stiff and i don't want to force it. This was wired directly into an electrical box, so no plug is supplied here, currently wired for 115/120V. You might also want to clean it out since it was used on a saw to generate saw dust. I believe it probably came off of a Jointer. Belt, Disk Sander but could be used on anything. The black cover sticking out the back is another shaft coming out the back side and it is approx. 1-1/2" long and 1/2" dia. it has no keyway but just a flat surface. I did not test this motor. Good motor for just about anything. I don't know much about electrical stuff but it has a regular 110 plug and another set of wires coming out of it which may be for the on& off switch. See Pictures. Up for Auction is a Craftsman(by SEARS) Capacitor Start A.C. Electric Motor with Mount and Pulley. General application is for: Wood Lathe. Band Saw and Drill Press. 1/2 Horse Power, 1725 RPM, Thermally Protected, Permanently Lubricated and so many other specifications to list but please see the 2nd up close picture for all specifications. This Motor is used but works great. I plugged it in and it ran for several minutes very smoothly and quietly. It works great. It was fairly dirty when I first got the motor(I actually cleaned it up AFTER the picture was taken) but could maybe use a little more cleaning but once again, it works fine. I removed the mount clips and the motor mount(which still come with the auction) only so I could fit it inside the USPS shipping box. This is a DAYTON Electric Motor Model 2N8657. It is rated at 1/2 hp& 1425 rpm. It has a 5/8" shaft with a 3/16" key. The frame is a 56. I am not an electric motor expert so I added photos of the specification labels of this motor as there is some contradictory information concerning the Hertz and the rpm. As for the condition. I have no definitive knowledge of the history of this motor. However, other than a little dust it appears to be in really nice shape.
