I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions and recently found some great items. Including lots and lots of great vintage gloves. These are two pairs of vintage gloves probably from the early 1950s. They are both made of cotton fabric and both marked on the inside with stamps that identify them as'Crescendoe. Leather tailored, made in USA. These have great tailored details with decorative button trim on the backs. One pair is cream-colored, measuring 8.5" from fingertip to cuff edge. On the backs they have two rows of three small buttons. On these the cuff is smooth across. The brown pair are a darkish brown and are slightly longer, about 9" long. These have a V shaped cutout on the backs with three small brown buttons in the V. Please see the photos of each of them on my hand. These are in good vintage condition; they have ... morebeen worn. And I'm only guessing on that, as I really do not know; just going by the hand size. Due to its age, gloves do present signs of age in the wearing. There is leather discoloration, and worn areas on the fingers, where some of the fingers have separated from the leather. The inside lining is worn with some tearing, and just worn areas in the fleece lining due to its age, which I have no idea what age these gloves are. Antique Child's Fur Gloves Mohair Mittens old brown leather & wool
Here is a pair of really old mittens. i do not know the age. The hand part is leather and the rest is mohair i think. it is not fur like sheep fur. But a woven fabric with hairs sticking out. some fur is missing, possibly eatten by a moth. they measure 5.5 inches tall. i think the size of hand that goes inside is 3.5" i hope someone out there wants them, otherwise they go in the trash.
