The rubber covering of the bending section was removed. The hospital declined to have the scope repaired, and the rubber covering of the bending section was not replaced. On observation. The movement of the bending section appears to be pretty good. Except when the tip is moved between up and down. The path of movement is not in a straight line. The tip moves off to the side about 30 degrees from a straight line. Also, there is too much play in the up/ down and right/ left angulation knobs. The insertion tube is shiny. But just south of the control section boot, at the 50- 65mm range, color is faded as if something was put on the insertion tube there that removed the color. See picture. There ... moreis also a crimp in the insertion tube at the 47mm point(see pictures) Holding a small flashlight up to the light guide end.
