The cap is solid brass that has aged to a nice warm bronze color. It could be polished to a high shine or left in the condition it is. The switch has small scratches and a couple small dents in the brass. It was made in the USA by HUBBELL. The switch looks good inside and tests OK with a meter. Just some dust. This is a great lot of two Germany Electric Mechanical switches that came from a Slide Dupe Machine. They are in good working condition with black bakelite plastic knobs for easily turning on and off. The larger one is rated as 4A and 250V. The number on the smaller one is marred but it looks like it is rated as 2A 250V. They are about 2 Inch by 2 Inch in size. This would make an excellent addition to any collection. Vintage H&H Toggle Switch,1 amp, 250 volt rating, from 1920's-30's AM Tube Radio
This auction features a nice vintage toggle switch. Manufactured by H&H, and salvaged from a 1920's-1930's AM tube radio. According to data printed on the surface of the switch, it is rated for 1 Amp at 250 volts/3 Amps at 125 volts. It also was inspected by Underwriters Labs and made in the USA(see photos 1&2) The switch accommodates 3 wires. It measures 1-1/2" long by 1/2" wide by 1-1/8" high. The switch appears visually to be in good condition. With only a small amount of solder flux on the bakelite insulators. The toggle has a nice"click" when flipped, although I have not verified the electrical integrity using any testing procedures. The brass parts(toggle, threaded casing, and hex nuts) have a very nice patina, as does the black housing for the switch. Here we have 27 switches that I found in a box. I don’t know much about them. Most of them have obviously been removed from some other device. Some of them appear unused. Some are dusty and have wires still attached to them. You’ll get what is shown in the photos. Some of them are still attached to some other housing. I am sure that all of the mounting hardware and on/off face plates don’t match up. It’s not even the same amount of each so it can’t.
