This is a Large to very large Sawtooth sharks bill. The bill about 30 years old, Please look at all the pictures they can tell you more then I can. What I do know is that it has all of it's teeth and the measurements are 37"long, from tooth to tooth it measures 6" at the top and 9 1/2" at the base. This is a Large Sawtooth sharks bill. The bill about 30 to 40 years old, Please look at all the pictures they can tell you more then I can. What I do know is that it has all of it's teeth but the one on the end that looks to be lost while the fish was alive. The measurements are almost 32" long and 5 1/2" wide at the widest point tooth to tooth. The larger of the teeth are 3/4" to almost 1" as the picture shows. The teeth start out 1 3/4" apart at the base and gradually get closer. There are 47 teeth in total. This is a very unique and awesome piece. Please see all pictures as the item is as pictured. Up For Auction is this Really Nice expert made. 1-1/4 sided, 6foot Blue Shark Wallmount. I begin by saying that this REALISTIC TAXIDERMY was"a two-man-effort" in bringing this fish in. I.Set-The-Hook" on the troll(not using a steal leader by-the-way) reeled him in half the way. My friend's dad brought him in to the boat the rest of the way. We caught a half-a-dozen or so, like him that day, twenty minutes west of Seal Beach, California. This particular one was selected because of it's fullness and beauty. My friend's dad(friend of family) had the most extensive collection of animals for a Gameroom Show Place as I'd ever seen. Or; even ever heard of. He always had the Best Ones, of the array of all the animals, and quality craftsmanship done on them. My dad use to go and pick up his orders for him. I wish I could ... moretell you the name of the company that did this fish, BUT I did hear him say: it was $4,000.00 to get this work accomplished on this shark- alone" In the early 70's- that was a lot of money! Condition of this shark is: it has some cracks in the back of the tail section. And; a chip off the bottom lobe of tail, but glued back on. My little brother had my shark for awhile when Chuck(friend's dad name) his estate released it from his estate to my brother. I've had IN my possession for 20 years. It needs a"Refresh" of some parts. The teeth are yellow now. Easy to fix because its a composite paste that is used for this replacement. It was told by Chuck, too us, that"this was a mold of THIS shark that was caught. Its the real one" Not an Extra Mold of a blue shark laying around. The cracks on the backside tail appear to be just on one side only. And of natural origin. As-in, of natural resin splits. Specs: 67" in a straight line. 69" from tip tail to nose, 23" high, 7" thick, Plus side fin is 9" for a total of 16" width. Shark Weight: 17lbs.
