Up for auction is the RARE model. From STAR MFG, of their commercial hot dog cooker. This was in very good condition when I originally purchased it. The first owner did paint the steel bottom a silver color. I did disassemble this and repainted it a FIRE ENGINE RED. This was painted with"high heat" paint so the temperature will not affect the new paint job. All parts are original, and I do believe this is complete. The heating element was cleaned and the electronics were checked; all works great. This heats up very hot within a few minutes. The steel base has been painted. The sides and corners are stainless steel with very little visible wear. The 3 piece top is aluminum and that has also been painted the FIRE ENGINE RED. All glass panels are also original. Vintage Star Steamro Hot Dog Steamer
I got this hot dog steamer at an estate sale and have never personally used it. I plugged it in and it got extremely hot on the bottom. I only plugged it in just long enough to confirm that it worked(approx. 30 seconds) so hopefully that didn't do any damage to the heating element since I didn't have water in it when I tested it. I unbolted the bottom cover to show two pics of the heating element so you can see it. It might be good to eventually replace it for a more modern one in case this one ever burns out or quits working. I've never tried putting water in it so I have not fully tested it. Because of this I'm selling it as untested. There are minor dents in some pieces and may be other imperfections and blemishes. Its dirty and could use a good cleaning. I'm not planning on doing any more cleaning on it before shipping ... moreso you'll receive it as is. As far as the rest of the condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look.

This is a very nice used Star Model 35SSA hotdog steamer and bun warmer. This unit is very clean and has been used sparingly. The glass is clear and clean and the unit is clean inside also. This steamer is not scraped or dinged up. The only thing wrong with this unit is that the small plastic ring that was in the bottom of the unit where the power cord goes in cracked and is no longer present(see picture) This does nothing to affect how this unit functions.
