No makers marks, am guessing is by Bausch& Lomb but could also be Cambridge Instruments as came with one of their antique microscope instruments(an odd electromagnet chamber microscope) All light source parts made of brass, the long arm is aluminum, front lens adjustments of plated brass, about the only parts attracted by magnet are some small screws and the support post. This is not the original Optical Block for this TV, as it was replaced in 2009 under the Sony Recall and, until this last bulb went bad, showed no signs of the annoying bleeding effect that the Sony TV’s of this era were known to have done with the color being off in parts of the screen. This light source is in excellent condition. The front panel looks perfect and the case has only a few small areas where the paint is nicked. I have replaced the noisy fan, cleaned all of the optics, and repaired the bad connections in the lamp power supply. There are two outputs on the front, one has discrete color wavelengths specific to forensics and the other is tunable across 0-900nm with a variable bandwidth of 10-100nm. Included are the power cord and the 2 meter liquid light guide(think big fiber optic cable with a lot less power loss) The lamp is rated at 300 watts. The lamp looks to be fairly new as the electrodes are shiny and not deformed. I cannot guarantee lamp life though as this was a used unit when I acquired it.
