This is for a nice old Victorian map distance measuring tool called an opisometer. It has a metal wheel that moves along the metal bar when run over a flat surface. This can be used to measure a road or track, a route on a map and then whatever distance the wheel has run, can be tracked back on the scale of the map to get a reading of distance. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere and it measures 88mm(3.3" long by 15mm(0.5" across at the end.
