I did just try it and it works fine. Variable speed from 0- 2500 RPM. There is some discoloration on both sides of the cast aluminum housing at the front of the gun. The marks are from the box being pushed down on the gun while in storage. Has the manual and parts list. I never removed the twisty from the cord. Please see the pictures for further description.
