PJ sets with hats, a couple of girls dresses, blue jean pants. A hooded bath towel and other stuff. I didn't wash any of the clothing. Most look fine but if you look at picture 11 it shows a dress a nd b ottoms that look like a coffee stain or other stain. I would think that it could be removed if washed. this lot weighs close to 5 pounds I was going to ship parcel post to cut down on postage but was just notified by ebay that the post office is going to discontinue parcel post at the end of the month so I will have to ship priority mail which may cost a bit more. sorry.

A stippled field, and the raised image of a five-pointed star with another star within it. Backmark: D.EVANS& CO. ATTLEBORO MASS" in depressed letters on a ribbon. There is an eight-petaled flower or bursting star between the ends of the ribbon. Tice dates this back mark to the 1850s-1860s. The shank is sturdy.

The SS Eastland was a passenger ship based in Chicago and used for tours. On July 24. 1915 the ship rolled over while tied to a dock in the Chicago River. A total of 844 passengers and crew were killed in what was to become the largest loss of life disaster from a single shipwreck on the Great Lakes. Following the disaster, the Eastland was salvaged and sold to the United States Navy. After restorations and modifications the Eastland was designated as a gunboat and renamed the USS Wilmette.
