It is made in most beautiful Walnut and Ebony combination tastefully fused together, with all original highest quality gilt hardware featuring swans, sea shells and flowers. The piece has in total 12 drawers, better 4 sets of three drawers, 6 on the outside and 6 on the inside. Top is ebonized sitting over the top of 3 side by side drawers. Below is a quarter cylinder desk door, a"lid" or as referred to- a roll top. Rolling up the lid reveals matching classical interior, with columns as a frame for open middle, flanked by three fully functional drawers on each side, one over the other. The writting area in the middle slides out once the top is rolled up, as the ... moredesk has no knee hole. Bottom piece has three drawers one over the other, with the top one having a designed overhang, which makes the drawer supported by the two ebony columns which flank the drawers. To describe the bottom alone, consider it as an extra large 3 drawer dresser or commode. The very bottom is beautifully finished off with feet which are at the same time supports or bases for the columns above. Bottoms of the feet are finished off with stylistically great ebony moldings. Tall Antique Victorian Oak Cylinder Desk Carved Secretary Glass Front Shelves
Fantastic Victorian era cylinder top desk. Made from oak with pine secondary woods. Panelled back and sides. The large upper cabinet has flexible. Movable shelves and period glass doors. It rests atop a cylinder or roll top desk area with a small drawer and several pigeon holes. The writing surface is covered in black felt and pulls out to provide a larger area. There is a large overhanging drawer as well as two smaller drawers and a cabinet below, for even more storage. All of the drawers have brass pulls and escutcheons and dovetail joints. The lower area is spoon carved in a charming leaf pattern. This piece most likely dates from the late 1800's. This piece is in good condition. But does have some cosmetic flaws, as is to be expected in a piece of this age. Several of the escutcheons are missing as well as the door pulls on the upper ... morecabinet. The drawer pulls are loose as well and one of the escutcheons looks like it has been reattached. There is a piece of wood missing from the molding below the desk top as well. The cylinder is 55 millimeters tall and and has a diameter of 35 millimeters. It is quite nice to hold just looks magnificent. I will miss it very much. Tungsten(Wolfram in some parts of the world) Is a considerably dense element at 19.25- 19.3 grams per cubic centimeter which is similar to gold and uranium. It has the highest meltingpoint of all the metallic elements at 3,422 degrees centigrade and a boiling point of 5,555 degrees centigrade. Tungsten is also fairly corrosion resistant to most acids and does not tarnish in air at room temperature. Tungsten is a very strong and hard metal that retains its strength at elevated temperatures. Vtg Early 1900's Thomas Edison Standard Cylinder Phonograph Player to Restore
Ok. I am definately no expert on these old cylinder type players. I am selling this old beauty for parts or restoration. I believe it to be just too nice to used for parts, so, a great candidate for restoring I feel. This is a wind-up Thomas A. Edison Standard cylinder player. As you can see, no horn, with wear from age and use. She dies wind up, and I can hear the motor turing inside, but the band that turns the cylinder is broken. Looks to be an easily obtainable piece, but, I am unsure. The reproducer looks to be in great shape, with a good diaphragm, as it reacts loudly when you disturb the needle tip, ect. With some restoration, this would be a fine Edison!

Very good overall condition, This exquisite flame mahogany bureau was hand-crafted in the Netherlands around 1780. Over the centuries. The mahogany has developed a beautiful patina, so that it now displays a deep, lustrous complexion and a highly pronounced grain. The interior of the desk thus reveals a series of drawers and a satinwood-striped cabinet door that opens to reveal yet another drawer. This interesting white clock is perfect for a desktop or shelf. The top section of the clock rotates around the base with an ornate metal pointer that shows the time. Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you've looked at this one. I've got some great items listed this week. And there should be something of interest to just about everyone. Here's a pristine 1901 Columbia AB MacDonald combination Graphophone. The smallest Columbia machine capable of playing either standard or Concert-sized cylinders. The phonograph is in near mint condition, and it comes with its original 14" aluminum horn. I'll also include two brown wax Columbia cylinders- a Concert cylinder featuring the Fife& Drum Corps and a standard cylinder featuring Uncle Josh. It will of course play Edison cylinders also. As you can see in the photographs. This is a very special machine, and I'll let the photographs do most of the talking. The oak cabinet is close to perfect on all sides, with its original ... morefinish still intact and no missing or damaged strips of molding. The cabinet decal is original, and it's almost flawless. Base sits squarely on a table, and the horn attaches snugly to the neck of the carriage. The nickel-plated parts are beautiful, with very little wear evident and almost no pitting. The large mandrel slips effortlessly on and off of the small mandrel, and the locking nut secures the large mandrel to the small mandrel with no slack. The machine plays very well and can be used with both sizes of cylinders. The original large diaphragm Columbia floating"D" reproducer has good mica and a good stylus and sounds exceptionally good. It was the best reproducer t hat cou ld be pur chased for th is phonograph when it was new. The horn is in excellent condition. With only a few minor dings and creases. It's in especially nice shape for an original Columbia aluminum horn. As you know if you've been looking for one, these horns typically turn up looking like they've been run through a sausage grinder. This one has a few small cracks at the nozzle end, but as noted above it still attaches snugly to the carriage, and as original aluminum horns go, y

Antique French Inlaid Wood 6 Tune 6" Cylinder Music Box
Here is a nice French inlaid marquetry wood cylinder music box from the late 1800's. It is 14 1/8" wide 7" deep and 4 3/4" tall. The cylinder is 6 inches long. It is not working. But the spring is fine and all the parts seem to be there. In good condition a small amount of wear to the case and the bottom board is cracked and separated. It will play 6 tunes when repaired. There are no missing tines. The levers are marked arrete. Jouer or stop and play, then changer, repeter or change and repeat. The key to the lock is missing. Insurance is included with shipping.

Antique Wooden Cylinder Music Box
This is an antique Swiss wooden cylinder music box. It is marked Patented 1886. It is also marked Marque de Fabrique. It is 14" long and 7" wide. It is 6 Airs and 3 1/2 pouces. There are 6 songs and the song list is very clear and legible. There is a play/stop lever on the right hand side and a repeat/ change lever on the left hand side. The hand crank is on the outside of the right hand side. The top of the box is in real nice condition. No chips. The bottom and and corners have some rough spots. The bottom of the back of the box has some chips along the length of the box. I own this box for about 30years and only played it 3 or 4 times. It was one of those things I had to have and then never played it.
