Mid-Century Fiberglass Tray, Chips & Dip Serving Set & Wood Lacquered Boat Bowl
For your consideration is this wonderful mid-century butterfly themed collection of serving and entertaining pieces. The collection has a wonderful spaghetti style fiberglass snack and dip serving set. The set consists of a large bowl on a round wood base with 3 butterflies. There is a brass color metal holder which fits over this large bowl and holds the smaller bowl above the larger bowl. The small bowl has 1 butterfly. The fibers in this set has alot of gold colored fibers in the mix. This piece is in great condition. The bowls are not chipped or cracked. The brass colored metal is in good condition. Free of rust. This entire serving set measures 6 1/2" tall when assembled together. The larger bowl measures 11 3/4" wide and sets up 2 1/4" from table top. The smaller bowl measures 5 3/4" wide and is 2" deep. The ... morelarge serving tray is also spaghetti fiberglass with 3 butterflies. This tray is a more yellow color than the other piece. I do not know if this is the original color, or if it is yellowed with age. The gold fibers in this tray are thicker than the gold fibers used in the other set. This gives the tray a different look up close. The tray is also in good condition. The tray measures 20 3/8" long and measures 12 1/2" wide, and sets up 3/8" from table top. The canoe shaped serving bowl is gold lacquered wood. This wonderful bowl has a handpainted butterfly with twig and leaves design. This collectable vintage lacquered wood bowl was made in Japan. This serving canoe shaped bowl measures 11" long and is 3 7/8" wide and measures approximately 2 1/4" high from table top to highest point. This beauty is in good condition. Retro/Mid century"0rganic" plaster lamp w/matching 3 tier fiberglass shade. Search Offered is an"organic" designed plaster table lamp. Very good to excellent conditon for being plaster or chalkware and it's age. No cracks. Chips or paint loss(some minor marks) There is some kind of drip on a leaf.looks like varnish. I haven't tried to remove it because it doesnt show much. The wires of the shade are discolored(dark not shiney) and I just noticed that the shade is a little dented(last photo) near the seam so normally would be turned to the back. This lamp has been in my antique booth for a couple of months and it was not dented when I put it in. This lamp is designed like a stump with leavesgrowing ot of it. The matching shade is a 3 tier fiberglass with leaves around the center tier. These leaves match the ones ... moreon the lamp. hard to find both in such good condition. Colors are white, gold and peachy-orange with a little brown accent on the leaves on the shade. This lamp measures about 29 in. tall to the top of the harp and 7-1/4 wide at the base. The shade measures 16 in. diameter for the top and bottom tiers and about 19 in dia. for the center tier(with leaves) It is 11 in. high to the top of the finial ring. Eastman fiberglass guitar case for 00 size or classical guitar
This lightly used case sells for $230 at Trilogy Guitars. I suspect because the 00 size is rarer than the dreadnaught size, which you can find for $193 at Bluegrass Supply. The size can be found at the Eastman case site: it's 39.4 inches long, 15" across the lower bout and 5.1" deep. I'm starting it cheap because the shipping for cases has to be so high. I'll send this case for $40, insuring it for whatever it brings. It will come the cheapest way through USPS. I found out it's so high because they charge for 45 lbs. no matter what it weighs, and then they figure the size, so there's no way out of the expense that I can see.Questions?

Up for auction a rather Nice CIRCA 1965 FENWICK#FF85 8-1/2 FT. 2/1 TUBULAR FIBERGLASS FLY ROD WITH THE ORIGINAL LABELED BAG& CORRECTLY LABELED ALUMINUM TUBE. This example was built by the Fenwick Co. of Long Beach, Calif. sometime around 1965. It's marked with Serial#E1257(which would indicate a 1964-1965 model) but is also marked with the 1965 Patent number for the"Feralite" ferrules, so I assume it was produced later in 1965 or possibly even 1966. Rodshaft carries the"Fenwick Feralite" eagle decal and is also stamped"FF85- 8-1/2' 3-3/4 oz. and"A.F.T.M.A. Fly Line NO.7" above that. The"FERALITE" logo decal and"U.S. PAT. 3,186,122" are on the shaft up by the butt ferrule. Built with"brown" tubular fiberglass and comes equipped with chromed stripper, 8) snake guides, ... morechromed tip top, fiberglass"Feralite ferrules, hook keeper, copper anodized winding check, solid cork Half-Wells grip, gold anodized scre-locking reel seat with Fenwick Eagle logo, plastic buttcap and wound in brown thread with black& white trim. Rod is in about Fine+ condition for these, showing overall wear one would associate with normal use. Blanks are damage-free, equal length and are arrow-straight. All wraps are solid and complete. All guides, tip top, ferrules, hook keeper, winding check and buttcap are in nice shape. The reel seat works perfectly, showing moderate wear. The solid cork grip is in superb condition. Put up in the original plaid Fenwick bag, which is in excellent condition and still carries the cloth inspection tag. All of this goes into the original Fenwick aluminum tube, which remains in very fine condition, with no dings or dents. Still has a virtually complete paper label, which is correctly marked for the rod. The chained cap screws on tightly and securely. PAUL McCOBB fiberglass origami chair salmon peach orange Eames mid century RARE!
For your consideration is one(1) extremely rare vintage 1950s PAUL McCOBB protoype of the iconic origami fiberglass chair in a lovely salmon/peach orange color. Please note that the chair's color is more peach/salmon(see 5th pic) but appears brighter and more orange under indoor tungsten light. I was told by a mid century modern expert that this might actually be the only prototype of this kind and color ever made. But I'll leave it to the eventual buyer to assess the photos and make your own determination. This is such a structurally beautiful and well-crafted chair that is emblematic of the space-age. Atomic design aesthetic of much of mid century modern furniture, and fiberglass is the perfect material for something that exemplifies the marriage of form and function. What makes this distinct from the other(also rare) origami fiberglass ... morechairs is the exposed rivets. Which can only be found on a handful of prototypes. Structurally sound and complete. With black leg gliders still intact, but as with most vintage chairs, it exhibits standard wear, particularly scratches and some oxidation and rust on the legs, which can probably be removed with steel wool and the proper cleaner. Small chip on the back, but it does not detract from the beauty of this chair and can really only be seen from the back and some surface crazing near the bolts on the seat. Fenwick Feralite FF806 Fly Rod. Excellent condition. Many people feel the 806 was the best all around Feralite fly rod ever built by Fenwick. The tip of this rod has been replaced and the tip section is about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the butt section. I cast this rod along side a regular length 806 and could not tell any difference. This is an older fiberglass 8' fly rod. The label is almost all gone. So I can't tell who made it. Cork handle is in pretty good condition, but the cork sections are loose and spin on the handle. H ere is a very unique 1950's light honey colored fiberglass lounge chair by noted designer Lawrence Peabody for the Selig Manufacturing Company. It enco mpa sses several features of the earlier famou s Herman Miller fiberglass chair. Nam ely the molded threaded fiberglass shell on a steel base in a choice of colors. Peabody offered two basic frame styles. One with rubber shocks at a mid back and another with a steel frame wrapping around the entire outside edge of the shell. This chair has the latter, solid tubular frame all aroun d the edge of the chair for a sturdier. Stronger, and more comfortable chair. Comfortable ... moreis the key word as Peabody strove to mix the beauty of the threaded fiberglass with a larger more ergonomi c design in a larger shell than the Miller shell. This chair measures 33" tall by 27" wide and 26" in depth and has the height and slight lounge tilt backwards to exceed the Miller chair in comfort. The stee l frame also has a more industrial look as well. This chair is in very nice condition with only normal wear to the fiberglass with a few light surface scratches. There is one missing footie that I intend to replace as well. It also has a slight bend on one of the back legs. This chair had an original reddish color but has faded to the hon ey color as shown. So its rarity overall is even greater. There are no cracks or chips to the fiberglass. Shipping is $68 and I pack professionally. Some cast iron where wood handle meet the rod. Rod looks like bone color and not a material I have seen perhaps early plastic or fiberglass or bakelight. Light weight with a lathe turned handle that is maple. 35" with two leader eyelets and a galvanized metal winding mech for by hand winding the extra string. Very old guess pre 40's. Vintage Heddon Pal Pro Weight # 8381 7' fiberglass fly rod
Up for auction is a highly desirable 7' Heddon Pal Pro Weight model#8381 with rod sock(I do not know if this is original) The Heddon 8381 is one of the excellent vintage rods that have inspired the recent fiberglass renaissance among many knowledgeable flyfishers and rod builders. Graphite rods can't do what fiberglass can in this length and line weight: throw larger. Heavier flies while still flexing enough to cast well and protect light tippets. This is a great rod for big fish in small streams. Rod is listed as a 5 weight but will easily throw a 6 weight at close range. I hate to part with it, but I have to thin my own collection a bit! This rod has been well cared for and is in great condition for its age. All ferrules and guide wraps are original and tight. The finish. Cork and reel seat are clean. All wear is from normal use ... moreand age: a bit of scuffing on the reel seat and some staining and a small hole in the rod sock. Phillipson and Early Wright McGill Fiberglass fly rods shipped in Cabelas Tube
Two vintage fiberglass fly rods by two of the best in the business. Plus a Cabela's case to carry them. The Wright McGill All American has the famous Pat 1938 reel seat made familiar on their bamboo rods. The Phillipson is called a Royal Lancer. Both rods are probably in the 7 weight range, and both rods are in good used condition. It looks like there has been a guide or two rewrapped on the Wright McGill. I think that the Phillipson is all original, but these are not perfect specimens for the collector, they are, however, both very fishable, and have a lot of life left in them, and would serve until the perfect specimen did show up.
