ANTIQUE VINTAGE OAK LIBRARY INDEX CARD STACKING FILE CABINET BOX ~~~~~~~~ I am offering at auction this Nice OLD Antique Oak Stacking File Cabinet. There are two sections which do interlock/stack. They still have the sliding metal works on inside that hold the standard 4 by 6 cards. They have brass pulls on each drawer. This is in very good used condition. Looks like it was refinished at one time. There is some minor nicks to the wood a few corners of drawer edges(see pics) It measures 16" deep w handles, 15 1/4" across front and 12 1/4" high. The Box is finely hand painted throughout with beautiful and vibrant enamel colors. The Box has nice famille rose floral designs on a turquoise enamel ground. Along with interesting figural scenes all around. The Box is good antique example and I was told by the fine qualities would date from the mid to later 19th century period. The Box has some small losses throughout which could be restored if desired, but is overall in nice presentable condition. The Boxes and lid also fit perfectly together with no looseness or movement. Up for sale is an antique oak barrister stacking bookcase.It is a four section folding glass with a curved pullout bottom section and matching top piece. It has been refinished in a golden oak stain with a laqured top coat. All wood is quartersawn with no defects. Bands on sides are in beauitiful condition. The side against the wall is just as nice as the one you can see. All sections fit together as they should. Measurements are: width 34. Height 60, depth 12.5 inches. 2 Large Vintage Stacking Glass Candy Jars Canisters Store Used Red Tin Lids Another I’ve been everywhere weekend! I went to an antique store going-out-of-business sale. An estate sale, and auction, and am still listing items from the flea market and a barn sale. Whew! I found lots of treasures for you- and a little bit for all! How cool are these? Right out of the antique store. Where they were in use, what I have are two large stacking candy jars. They are made from clear, molded glass that is clear, thick and with loooots of anomolies original to the making- I'm trying to show in my close ups- there's bubbles, burps, lines and waves- just like you like! The lids are made from either steel or tin(a magnet sticks to them) and I can tell that they have been repainted the wonderful rustic rusty-red that you see. When you look closely, ... moreyou can see shallow bumps under the paint that are the former chippy paint layers(so this is not the original finish on the lid- see photo 10) and could be surface rust too, under the paint- it's hard to tell, because the current finish is nice, without wear. As I'm showing in my photos, each jar has two flat sides- so they will sit on a flat surface, and will stack- the top one could have another stacking on it too- as it is flat on top. They will only sit with the lids facing out from the side, as I'm showing in my photos- these are not the types of jars that have a flat bottom, where you can stand them with their lids facing up. I don't know why the bottom jar in my photos looks smaller than the top jar to me- they are the same size- one may be just a smidge smaller, as one weighs a smidge over 5 lbs, and the other weighs a smidge under 5 1/2 lbs. Together, the two jars measure 17 1/2" tall. Individually, they are 9 1/4" tall(the difference being from the top jar setting into the flat top of the bottom jar- which has a divot to fit) You can use them together/stacked, or separated. This is a lovely Meiji Period Jubako. Delightful Japanese lacquer three-layer jubako. Bento or stacking lunch box, Meiji, c. 1868-1912. Traditionally used to store food during holidays when there was no cooking. Three layers featuring enchanting, highly detailed flower and leaf motif with abundant and vibrant patterning. Elegant and finely rendered by a master of Takamaki-e lacquer. Takamaki-e(or"raised maki-e" is one of the three major techniques in maki-e(or lacquer) making. Up for sale. This auction is for a vintage set of 6 stacking ~ nesting retro 1960's- 1970's era drink coasters. Fun& funky thick chunky faux marbled yellow plastic with an absorbent cording material in a deep shade of orange. The colors are in the style of the late 60's through the 1970's and I used them for a display in a vintage Airstream camper and they looked right at home. Condition: Vintage used coaster set with some blemishes and minor chipping& scratching from use. Some of the orange absorbent cording material on two of the coasters appears to have had cigarette burns. They are in overall good condition and very serviceable.
