GREAT MID CENTURY RETRO ROUND NESTING / STACKING TABLES FAUX MARBLE TOPS EAMES !
Hollywood Regency Mid Century Modern Up for auction is a nice set of 3 vintage 1960's or 1970's nesting/stacking tables in good vintage condition. The legs are beautifully tapered wood. The tops have a Formica faux marbalized finish and around each table top is a faux inlaid design. Individually they stand 15 inches high and the diameter of each top is 17 inches. These are in good used condition, the tops appear to be almost like new. The legs just have a few minor rubs but a little Formby's should take care of those. Some of the brass tops(one is a little dented) on the legs are tarnished with age and could be cleaned with a brass cleaner or a very fine steel wool. But all in all the tables look great. ELEGANT JAPANESE LACQUER STACKING BOX Meiji Period Superb antique Japanese lacquerware cylindrical stacking box. Embellished with elegant gold and silver maki-e depicting a variety of lovely flowers and a traditional bamboo fence. The inro-like box is neatly stacked and fits tightly together with three compartments and a round lid. The lower compartment is carefully lined with brass. Remnants of powdered makeup can be seen at the edges of the interior compartments. And we believe this box was most likely a dresser box belonging to a wealthy woman or geisha. I believe the wood is walnut or possibly mahogany with an extra dark walnut finish. The stepback crown decal says"C.F. Roth Sales Co. Office Furniture Chicago" The overall dimensions are 34" wide. 26" deep and 56" high. The top drawers inside measurements are 30 3/4" wide. 4 1/2" high and 22 1/2" deep. The card files are 5" wide. 3 3/4" high and 22 1/2" deep and have the sliding compression panels. The three flat files are 2 1/2" high. 30 3/4" wide AND 22 1/2' deep. All sections labeled Globe Wernicke Grade 297 which is quartersawn figured weathered oak. All sections have original bands around each unit. Each section has original brass knob on door, and each section has original antique wavy glass. All doors open easily and have original scissor mechanisims. c1909 Globe-Wernicke Stacking Mission Style Bookcase
Welcome! Well what can I can about this wonderful antique bookcase? First of all I will tell you this is all original and it has all three of its original label on each section of this stacking bookcase and they are also in nice condition. This was made by the Globe-Weniche Company c1906 and each piece stacks on top of each other. There are 5 pieces all together. There is one drawer on the bottom then the three individual glass front book cases and a top section that holds them all together. So you see this comes totally apart for easy transporting to your home. This is in a mission style as you can see that from the knobs and the hardware on the bottom drawer. The wood is very dark and as I am not an expert on these things I am not sure what kind of wood this is? The varnish on this item has crackled a bit from age so you can see it is all ... moreoriginal and has not been touched. There are a few scratches here and there but could be easily touched up. I think for being over 100 years old this is in very nice condition. This is a fine antique and it could be used for your many books or even for a nice vintage collection of anything you might like to display. 1900's Quarter sawn oak barrister/stacking bookcase drawer front only. It is approx 32 1/2" x 4 5/8" I only have 1 knob/button and the other is missing. The finish could use some sprucing but is original. There is a small piece that is broken off on the back where the drawer bottom would fit but I have the piece to re-glue it. Vintage Lord Nelson Ware England "Rose Time" Floral Stacking Teapot only
This is a beautiful vintage stacking teapot by itself. The teapot was made by Lord Nelson Ware in England. It has a floral pattern of yellows. Reds, greens, and blues, set against a cream colored background, with gold detais on the spout and handles. It is stamped with a circular marking"Lord Nelson Ware Made in England" with"Rose Time" in the middle. I hate it but it has an old brownish small chip on the spout as seen in the pics. 1 Salad Dessert Plate Dansk Stacking Stripe Pistachio Green Chocolate Brown 8 3/4" The pattern is Dansk Stacking Stripe in Pistachio Green(light green) and a deep dark chocolate brown. Part matte finish and part shiny gloss finish. There is some wear to the matte brown portions(which may appear as a tiny fleck of white) although most of these pieces were rarely used and many still have price stickers on the base. I didn't see any major utensil wear. Very neat pattern that is discontinued. It is really nice because it all stacks and is very easy to store. Heavy durable pottery by Dansk Made in China.
