Vintage Black Central Office Test Set Case for Bell System Telephone Equipment
This is a Vintage Black Central Office Test Set Case for Bell System Equipment with Brass Hardware that I have had for a very long time. It has 2C-518 and BELL SYSTEM imprinted on the handle area. One of the black leather handle's connection is worn but is securely reinforced with metal. See the close up picture of this. This box is made out of a"mystery" material. Not metal. Nor plastic or paper maybe some sort of Bakelite? It's strong having been built to carry heavy test sets. The test sets were made out of metal then. It has two really great heavy brass chest latches. All the corners. Even inside on opening, are metal reinforced. There are two brass hinges on the back. The measurements are. RF Test Lab Equipment
The items available for sale are too numerous to account for. These were taken from a storage unit that was abandoned by an elderly gentleman who truly made this a LIFE hobby. I have really never seen anything like it. There are descriptions on the box that give what its' contents are. But let me give you a better idea of what is here. This is one of two 12'x40' storage units with radio equipment very precisely boxed and labeled. That means there is 480 square feet of this stuff. But geometrically that isn't taking into account the fact it is stacked to the ceiling as well. I counted 6 different signal generators alone, oscillators, transducers, power sources, antennae, rotors, etc. you get the idea. I am not a Radio person, and have no time for something like this, but what I am willing to do is cut someone a HELL Of a DEAL ... moreif they contact me and either help me move this stuff or decide to purchase from me.
