Antique Vtg Bronze Brass Black Americana Smoking Pipe or Plaque Wall Hanger
This is an antique bronze wall hanger that looks like it could be for smoking pipes or pool sticks. You could just hang it as a decorative wall plaque also. It measures 13 in. wide and 7 in. high. The hanger has a black americana theme with a black american man's face. Wearing a hat with leaves behind his shoulders. There is some green paint in his shirt and in the leaves. His face and neck are bronze and the rest of the piece is a shinier brass color. The face is great with a big happy smile and side glancing eyes. I do not know who made this piece or it's exact age. There is a lot of fancy detail in this piece. It is marked#1592 on the back of his head and#2809 under the hanger part. Thank-you for your interest!

The inside diameter of the loop measures 3 3/4 inches.The hanger is in very nice condition, I cleaned this hanger with a brass brush, soap and water and sprayed the hanger with clear enamel. As you can see from the photos the hanger comes apart. The stand alone weight of the hanger is 2 lbs. 7 ozs.I would date this hanger to the early 1900's!
