I bought this over ten years ago to heat water for bathing my horse. Not too long after I got it. I moved my horse to a facility that had a regular hot water heater, so I no longer needed this machine. Consequently, it lived in my garage all these years, unused and unloved. I finally decided it was time to move this Hott-Wash out, so, I cleaned off the dust and filled it with water and plugged it in to make sure it works. It does. It is basically just like the ones you will pay $360 for new. There is a technique for using this successfully. What I did was fill it with water and get it to heating. When the water inside was hot. I had three or four buckets lined up, and put some hot water in ... moreeach one. Then I added cold water to each bucket so that I had all these buckets with warm water to use on my horse. I kept the machine full and heating, so, as I was using the first buckets, more water would quickly be ready. I know it may sound like a process, but, I't did work out for me. My horse did appreciate not having cold water used on him. Don't be fooled by anyone advertising one of these telling you that you can have hot water out of the hose to bathe your horse. When the water comes out, it is way too hot to use on your horse. As the four gallons come out and the machine empties, the water quickly turns to cold water coming out. You have to use the method I described. I am including the flat hose that I used with this machine. It is a fabric type hose. 50 feet long. New these run about $25. This Hott Wash is in a big box. This is a Trane hot water/steam heater that was originally used in a school. The school was torn down and a new one was built nearby. The unit worked great and was in use right up until it was taken out of service when the school was torn down. It does have some light rust in a few areas from storage in a shop that did have some condensation once in a while over the years. The starting bid reflects this. It wouldn't be much trouble to sand down the rusty places a bit and repaint them. If I was using it in a shop or something like that I wouldn't bother. The fan spins easily and the unit is complete with piping. HAAKE C Water Bath w/ F3 Stirrer Heater Up for auction is a used HAAKE C Water Bath w/ F3 Stirrer Heater. This item is in good condition with some minor cosmetic wear from normal use. There are several scuff marks and scratches on the item but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are in good condition. The power cables are also in good condition with no cuts or frayed areas. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on with no problems. We turned the item to the maximum temperature and and let the item sit for 15 minutes. The stirrer started functioning properly without any issues. The item never seemed to heat up properly. We are unsure the reason for is and are unable to determine a fix. We also tested the cooler part of this item and we could ... morehear the compressor kick on but the item never cooled down. Since we are unable to test the complete functionality of the item and we believe this item may need to be repaired we are required to sell this item as PARTS or REPAIR. Thank You. 1 x W4 Draft Inducer for A.O Smith Gas Hot Water Heater, 7021-10195
The motor on my old inducer started making a lot of noise and gave up the ghost after 10 years. Water heater seemed good so I found a new inducer and control box for $200.00 and installed it. You almost know the rest of the story.2 months later my heater started to leak. And I needed a new heater and I could only find one locally that already had the inducer installed. So.if you can use one, here is a good deal. The inducer, plus the new control unit never installed and the old control box that was reinstalled on the new inducer. This required no changes.just connected the electric plug to the old unit rather that the new one.
