Item: Old outdoor sign from the Central Illinois Light Company CILCO Wallace power station in Peoria Illinois. The sign was installed in the 1950's and originally spelled out Central Illinois Light Company. When the power plant was demolished in the 1990's. We bought the letters and rearranged them and reconfigured a couple to spell the name of our business. Illinois Antique Center in Downtown Peoria Illinois. They were originally lit with fluorescent bulbs but when we installed them we did not light them. You can easily ... moresee them from many blocks away. The pictures taken were from a block away. We also bought one of the world's largest Redd y-Kilowatt figures. That was also on the power plant. His head alone is over 11' tall and we think he was be tween 50 and 65' tall. We were only able to keep his head and a couple hands/feet intact as the rest of his body did not survive the removal. Reddy Kilowatt. At this time, is not for sale(unless you make a totally ridiculous offer that we cannot refuse) If you look in the blurry picture at the end you can see the letters and Reddy on the left side of the building. Condition: These letters are each about 6' tall and are made of thin alumin um sides and plastic fronts. I am guessing they are about 3-5' wide. They are mounted to the building as shown with a few anchors in each letter. The letters are still mounted on the side of our building. Waterfront Place, and will need to be removed by a n insured bonded sign company. Hardin Sign Company in Peoria took it down from the power plant and put it back up for us. The letters don't weigh a whole lot. Probably@25# each, but they are on the 4th floor. Access is available weather permit

This eye catching old banner sign"WELSH FARMS ICE CREAM-Since 1891" is about 48" long x 24" wide and it is made of a heavy vinyl outdoor-use material. It has good colorful letters and a large picture of a tempting ice cream cone. The banner is quite sturdy and well made with multi sewn borders and large brass grommets in the corners. Also. Strung through the entire top and bottom of the banner are 2 strongly sewn in nylon tie cords reaching an additionnal 6 + feet out from each corner. There is some slight wear but over all the banner is in excellent original condition. I was told it was used only once at a fair in Pennslylvania in the 1980s. Very nice and clean! LL Bean B IG Outdoor Round Thermometer Sign COLLECTABLE Vintage advertising sign from the 1970's approximately a foot across. Minor wear- a few small scuff marks on the plastic cover bezel. Splotchy dirt and discoloration on plastic front cover- has not been cleaned- in same condition as purchased. I believe that the thermometer can be reset using needle nose pliers as temperature reading for front dial is controlled by a coil spring on back. Aluminum side bezel is smooth and not corroded as would be expected from extensive outdoor use. Small bend in one area edge of aluminum bezel(can be straightened easily as its only 1/2 inch long) Sold to highest bidder in the Continental US only. This is a Rarely-Seen one-side of an early 1960’s Hamm’s Beer Outdoor Sign from the Theodore Hamm Brewing Company. This sign is in Very Good to Great condition with no cracks at all. Just a few small scratches and a scuff or two but overall it is in really great condition. There is no paint loss on this sign either. The Hamm’s Beer Outdoor Signs. Especially with the beer glass and foam protruding out of the sign, are seldom seen and very hard to come by these days, and this is a Beautiful example of that. Approx 4ftx4ft Coca-Cola sign. Double-sided. Very unique, outside display at some point. I do not know age for sure, but probably 30's. Sturdy, thick, heavy metal. From my understanding this is a"porcelain" sign. If you are interested, you probably know that or can tell. Several bullet holes, and some rust, but is still attractive and would make a nice display.
