1869 ST. JOSEPH LIGHTHOUSE MICHIGAN DOCUMENT: PAINT, VARNISH & OIL FOR LIGHT
From our collection of Great Lakes lighthouse documents: Over the next few days we will be posting a series of ST. JOSEPH LIGHTHOUSE documents recording services and supplies used to repair the light. This over sized document is dated August 14 1869 and made out to Edward C. Palmer for paints. Varnish and oil for repairs and improvements to the lighthouse. It is signed by them as well as by Col. J.B. Wheeler Major of Engineers. 13 x 8 1/4. Condition is good. The St. Joseph Lighthouse was originally built in 1832. That light was replaced in 1859 by a two story keeper's dwelling with a square light tower rising from the roof. It was discontinued in 1886 but re-established it's use in 1889.

Strat Stratocaster Tortoise Pickguard with Oil-Based Paint Artwork
This auction is for a Warmoth Stratocaster pickguard that matches Fender specs. And was originally tortoise. I decided to take some oil markers to it, and add a little color. Just some psuedo-hippie, and tribal-looking doodles. It is clear coated with Krylon acrylic, and has a fairly glossy finish. It is an 11 screw hole guard, and is routed for 3 single-coil pickups, three potentiometers, and a 5-way switch. The guard is 3-ply(B/W/B) and the back is fully copper shielded. It's really solid, but probably shouldn't be bent up too much during installation. I'm not sure how the paint would hold up being bent and twisted to any extreme degree. It would probably look pretty good on a black, white, or warmer colored strat, like red, or blonde. I will only sell or ship to the mainland 48 United States. Fresh from a local estate. This auction is for an oil can embossed SINGER and MADE IN U.S.A. It stands about 5 inches tall and is 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. It has remains of blue paint on it. There is some rust on the bottom, and a bend in the spout(which I have shown in the photos) but it is still in usable condition. Early Vintage All Wood Artist Oil, Water,Fine Drawing Carry Box Art Paint Boards
Found this Solid Wood Art Carry Case Box with leather handle a few years back and it was loved and owned for decades by an avid outdoor nature painter of landscape and birds. Please study all 12 of my pictures for a detailed visual of this fine old Artist box. Just a note on its age-All the screw's used on this are flat head common head style that is one clue on how old it maybe-most everything made and produced after the 1940's used Phillips head screws which is the cross head style which were invented right around 1937. I took a picture of every side of the outside and also pictures of the inside for you. Their are 3 removable boards. 2 with the thumb holes to do your brush to paint on and one that looks to have been made special for it to slide in the slots of the lid and hold a picture in place so you can paint it or hang one ... moreto dry with some of the 7 tacks that come with it and were found with it. This particular board has the 3 large headed silver tacks in that board. The other 4 tacks have a wood center with sharp tacks on both sides. Handle is all leather and in good condition as are the hinges and dial locking clasps. Their are also two smaller hinges near handle that allow a little door to swing up so you can slide out your thumb boards. Also has all 4 of the original feet in place for when you set it on ground. The box size is 16"1/2 inches wide by 12"1/2 inches deep by 4"inches thick. Box weights with all painting boards 7 pounds before packaging. Shipped right out one business day. 1974 Craft Master THE FOUR SEASONS Oil Paint By Number Norman Rockwell SEALED
Here is a vintage 1974 Craft Master oil paint by number#15401. It is called THE FOUR SEASONS. There are four 16" x 16" panels adapted from illustrations of NORMAN ROCKWELL. Also included are 44 artist oil colors and 3 artist paint brushes. This box is still in shrink wrap although there are some tears in it. There is a small hole in the lid of the box(see pics) and the one end looks like it was smashed a little. A pair of vintage oil paint by number paintings on a velvety looking black flocked background. Size of painting is 8 x 10. They are in wood and gold frames which measure 10 x 14. One is a landscape scene of a New England style land bridge in snow surrounded by pine trees and the other is a waterfall and a small lagoon. Beautiful neat precise work. Nicely done oil. These were painted by my father in the 1970s. He became a prolific self taught artist after his retirement and he loved to work in a variety of media. His work was always very precise. Neat and done with extreme patience and love.

We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique late 19th Century Victorian Milk Glass Swirl Miniature Oil Lamp with Original Paint. This oil lamp is in Excellent Condition with some slight loss to the paint and the top rim of the glass chimney is very slightly rough. No other issues. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The lamp measures 7 1/2" tall at the chimney x 7 1/4" tall at the top of the shade x 2 7/8" tall at the top of the base x 3" at the base. The shade measures 3 1/4" tall x 1 7/8" at the top hole x 3 7/8" at the lower hole and the complete lamp weighs approximately 13oz. All the brass hardware along with the 3 prong spider is original with the wick knob marked P& A MFG Co. with a star. The lamp features wonderful white milk glass with a raised ... moretextured swirl pattern and great original paint to both the base and shade. 15 - Lightly Used Bob Ross 37ml Oil Paint Tubes + Case
This is all the paint you'll need to paint a beautiful mountain landscape or whatever landscape you wish with Midnight Black/Titanium White(+ large 5oz tube of T. White probably 1/3 used) and 12 various colors most used in Ross' paintings. Including: Alizarin Crimson. Bright Red, Cadmium Yellow Hue, Indian Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Sap Green, Phthalo Green, Phthalo Blue, Prussian Blue, Mountain Mixture, Van Dyke Brown, and Dark Sienna. PLUS THE PERFECTLY SHAPED VAULTZ CASE IS INCLUDED! I don't paint anymore but figure someone could use these and they are probably still good since they are oil based. I can't speak on their condition except to say that the one I checked seemed just the way I remembered and the black is a little crusty around the end where it's the thinnest.
