Kodak Dryview 8900 Laser Imager For sale- a Kodak Dryview 8900 Laser Imaging Printer. As you can see in the pictures this one features a + Mammography Upgrade for printing mammo x-rays. I am guessing that if you want to print mammo x-rays you have to have this upgrade. But I have no idea if it is something that can be done in the field or has to come that way from the factory. This one is ready to go in that respect. I was able to purchase the printer because according to the surplus source it would not power up. And in fact when I tried it initially I got nothing. But the back door was not securely closed and there is an interlock. And once that was firmly in place it powered up no problem. When it first came on it reported Status: Warming= 41. I assumed that to be 41 seconds, but in fact it was 41 minutes. So I killed some time and when ... moreit finished warming up it printed a test print from each of the three loaded film cassettes, 10x12, 8x10, and 14x17. Without knowing what the test prints are supposed to look like they look fine to me. And once the last one finished the machine went to"Ready" I will say that I noticed that just before it printed the 8x10 and 14x17 that square reported"Not Calibrated" even though they had all said they were calibrating for the duration of the warm up. I did not notice that with the 10x12 print but it only says it for a second or two and I might just have missed it. So while it does appear to be ready to print it may well require calibration before being placed in service. Given that it is going to bounce around in the back of a truck from me to you it would probably need some minimal maintenance by the time you receive it anyway. And you should budget accordingly. As you can see I was able to poke around in the menus a bit, and the printer appears to be completely responsive to the touchscreen controls. Beyond what you see pictured and what I have described it is untested and NO warranty is offered. Given the shipping costs involved I cannot see that offering
