X-Ray Cathode & Anode w/Filament & Tungsten Target
Up for sale are the Cathode and Anode from a Dental X-Ray unit. The cathode having the filament shown in the little slot and the anode has the tungsten target, which is the grey spot on the brass part. The X-Ray machine was working fine when I dismantled it because it was too heavy to deal with and try to sell in one piece. However. These two parts were removed from the tube that was whole and then hit the sidewalk and became no longer whole. So basically these two parts are for experimenting or building your own x-ray tube. Actually they can be for whatever experiments that you'd like. The brass anode had a silver ring around it with some old glue or something that I had to Dremel away. Which is why you see the cut marks. These are merely superficial and I was very careful about only cutting the unused part(that also had shards of glass ... morecoming off of it. Oh and the cathode has it's leads coming out of it. In case you can't see them in the pictures. If you have questions feel free to ask. This is a filament cartridge for a davinci printer by xyz printing. It has been opened and refilled with green abs plastic(it originally held white. So if you are using a davinci 2.0 you'll want to set the color to white to use this cartridge) The temperature settings have also been updated to 220 instead of 210 because we've had better luck printing at this temperature. They measure about 2 1/4" long. The have brass Edison screw bases that measure about 7/16" in diameter. The have the dark purple glass insulators. One has a small label which reads CP(candle power) and 60V. The middle bulb shown in the first picture has a chipped exhaust tip as shown. The other 2 are good. All 3 have looped carbon filaments attached to the lead-in wires with carbon paste. I have no way to light them. All of the filaments are intact. All 3 checked good with my ohmmeter. But I haven't even got through the first full roll of filament yet(Just used up the test filament and a bit of the green roll there) It functions perfectly, though I was not able to get the heated bed to work right. The printer bed has an L shaped scratch in the paint, if you use painters tape you wont see it at all, and it does not affect performance. I am including in this lot: Assembled Simple Metal Silver 3d printer 1 Partial green roll of filament(Like 2/3 to 3/4 of the roll still there) 1 Sealed roll of black PLA filament. 1 Sealed roll of red PLA filament. 1 power cord. 1 USB cord. 1 500w power supply for the heated bed. 1 Partially assembled heated bed. This transformer was a part of the famous Chicago heavy-duty"Sealed in Steel" product line of high quality transformers. This transformer is tapped for use on either a 115 or 230 VAC input. The secondary winding is rated at 5 VAC at 20 amperes. And the secondary is center-tapped for use as either a ground or signal return. The primary insulation rating is 2500 volts. And the secondary insulation rating is 10,000 volts. This listing is for an Uncommon Edison East Orange NJ Dual Filament Arc Lamp? It has two coiled filaments. One on either side of a central electrode assembly. The filaments are intended to be heated by a 14 volt supply. Between the filaments. There are two electrodes and a gap. One electrode appears to have a Copper base metal the other is a bright silvery color, which means it could be made of just about any metal other than Gold or Copper. I believe the job off the filaments is to saturate the gap region with thermal electrons. When a potential would be applied across the gap between the inner electrodes. A very bright light should be presented. It may even be possible to modulate the intensity of this light very quickly. Heavy. Cut crystal footed wine or water goblet commemorating the first 100 years, 1873-1973, of the Holland America Line. Headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, it was founded in 1873, as a shipping and passenger line whose first 25 years carried 400,000 people safely across the Atlantic, to the Americas. Holland America Line(HAL) first offered vacation cruises in 1895, but ended transatlantic service in the early 1970s. The goblet is a tribute to a century in existence. It stands 6 3/8" tall and holds 8 oz; the design you see is etched into the glass. Along with the maker's name, and the serial number 1603(pics 4 and 5) on the bottom of the foot.
