General Electric 7 Inch CRT GL-7JP4 From Emerson 600 TV 1950 Good Filament LQQK!
Up for bids is a vintage 7 Inch CRT. Offered is General Electric Type GL-7JP4. The CRT is in good. Clean condition. The glass envelope is clean and in good condition. The 14-pin tube base is also clean. Some of the pins are loose, but none is broken or bent. I read continuity between pins 1 and 14. The CRT was removed from an Emerson 600 series Television from about 1950. This was probably a replacement tube. The silver flashing on the neck of the tube looks good-it is visible in the photos. Bid on the CRT for your own restoration projects. 14 inches in overall length and about 7 pounds well-packed. Bid on it strictly"as is" due to age. The tube is untested. Plate and Filament transformer Pri. 117V. Sec. 765 VCT@ 920mA 6.3V@6A/ 6.3V@2.5A/ 5V@2A The core measures 38 x 70 mm. Which calculates to 707W. This is how I derived at the current rating for the unit. Secondary voltage was tested with 13.4 AC volts on the primary. Measured on the secondary was 87.7V which calculated to the 765V HV secondary. In a full wave rectifier it should produce 1080 VDC. Weight is approx. 13 lbs. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

One dual secondary transformer and two chokes for a stereo(two separate tubes) DC filament power supply. Great for a SET amp with either a 300B or 2A3 power tube in each channel. The filament transformer has two separate and completely isolated secondary windings at 10 volts@ 4 amps each. Using a resistor to capacitor to 60mHY choke to capacitor filter produces less than.005 volts AC ripple. Even less using larger than 10000uF filter caps. For example. 8 ohm to 10000uF to 60mHY to 10000uF provides 5 volts DC@ 1 amp. Or, 2 ohm to 10000uF to 60mHY to 10000uF provides 2.5 volts DC@ 2.5 amps. The Duncan PSU2 is a perfect tool to play with capacitor and resistor values to calculate voltage out and AC ripple content. This is i believe the 1893 edition of the Edison Filament Light bulb& Base. I took this to a dealer at the huge mt dora extravaganza in north florida a few years ago which is one of the biggest antique fairs in the us, theres a guy who only deals in vintage lighting and bulbs and he told me he was more than sure this was the 1893 version as he could see a tiny bit of the lettering on the base where it would have read the date and expo on it from the chicago columbian exposition, i have read that there were a limited number of these made in 1929 that supposevely look basicly identical to the 1893 but ive never seen one of those in person. i originally found this at a ranch my father bought maybe 25 years ago, it was just sitting up on an old rafter covered in dust and cobbwebbs but once i dusted it off a bit cleaned it up and eventually ... moregot a cord from that guy in mt dora it worked perfectly. both screw knobs work fine and everything works as it should. i see no damage what so ever, just a little dusty inbetween knobs, ill leave the cleaning to the winner. top to bottom this is a really killer piece, its a really nice piece to have around the house and the fact that it works is even better, i will pack this so it shows up to you working and in the stated condition it leaves me in but i will insure it for you aswell. So if you are using a davinci 2.0 you'll want to set the color to white to use this cartridge) Originally this held about a pound of plastic. It has been refilled with about a pound and a half. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need a custom color. I have lots of colors available including glow in the dark!
