I believe that this is a pre-CBS version, with patent-pending logos stamped into the metal footboard. As you can see from my pictures. This stand is in really superb condition! The center tubes are free from rusting, and the whole stand shines like new! The footboard is in excellent highly polished condition. And shows no visible wear on it. Bauer M4 fly reel with new upgraded 4 roller clutch - includes case
This is a Bauer M4 reel that is in great condition. I have had this as a backup to two other M4's when I went on overseas fishing trips. I have used this reel a few times and there are a couple of small marks on the edge of the frame. In direct light. And at certain angles you will also notice very light line marks on the face. The spool has no marks of any kind and looks like it did the day I bought it. I sent this reel to Bauer for the upgrade to the 4 roller clutch last year and have not used the reel since that time. There is some surface rust on the face of the pressure plate- see the picture. It says made in England. The plate shows a manufacture date of February 11, 1985. It is 10 spline.
