Just I put it in my drawer for a long time, so it is in excellent condition. The top rim and clasp are high quality tortoiseshell color plastic. It has pockets on both sides inside, and it has a small mirror on it. It has an original thick paper box. Please see photos. It is soft to the touch. 1940's era silk purse. Probably purchased in Persia with Persian figural and faunal hand-painted ingots along the rim and as a clasp. The fabric appears to be antique Persian heavily loomed metallic textile with a floral design. Inside I found a napkin from the Hotel Lexington, naming its' exotic bars. This stand is in good, fully functional condition, and it can be easily folded up for transport. There is some visible wear on the tubes and legs, and there is some visible surface rusting. The plastic knobs on the center collar and the clutch are worn and showing signs of cracking. The Trixon factory logo is clearly stamped into the rubber surface on the footboard assembly.
