Marshall JMP-1 (with Voodoo Amps Standard Mod)
Up for sale is Marshall JMP-1 preamp with the Voodoo Amps's"standard mod" done to it. I bought this used myself. But contacted Voodoo Amps with the serial number and then confirmed the mod. Item is in good working condition. Cosmetically the power button is missing the end cap to the power button's cylinder(tube design) But it still works fine. I tried it out both with a power amp into a speaker cabinet as well as direct recording. I'm just chasing tone and trying out some other gear at the moment. VINTAGE OXFORD 12K5R SPEAKER (POSSIBLY FOR FENDER AMPS/AMPLIFIERS?-TAKE A LOOK!)
I just recently purchased a pair of these rare vintage 12 inch speakers at an estate sale. They were removed from a very large and elaborate Ambassador Stereophonic HiFi tube-type console. This auction is for one of the speakers. With the other speaker to be sold in a separate auction. Check out the condition of the speaker from the many photos that I have provided. If any of the photos don’t load, please click“Refresh” and they should then all load. The speaker has the following model no. on it as shown in the photos: 12K5R-10. It also has the following code no. on it: 465 128. I read on the Internet that the“465” stands for the brand(Oxford” and the“128” indicates that it was made in the 28th week of the year 1961. However. I’m not sure if this is correct or not and I will leave it to all of the speaker experts out there to determine if ... morethis is right. If it is, in fact, correct, the speaker is over 50 years old and really looks nice for its age as the photos show! I have also been told that this speaker may be of a type which was originally used in various vintage Fender guitar amplifiers. However. I don’t know if this is true or not since I am not a speaker or guitar amplifier expert(I can’t guarantee that it is correct) and will again leave it to all of the speaker experts out there to decide. Condition-wise. The speaker looks to be in nice cosmetic condition in my opinion, and please feel free to check out the many photos that I have provided. The cone appears to be in very good condition. I did not see any rips in the cone(see the photo) with only a few small imperfections. There are some spots and discolored areas on the cone(it may have come that way from the factory but I don’t know for sure) There are a few very small dings/holes at approximately between the 8:00 and 9:00 positions which are so small that they are hard to see in the photos. This amp design is basically a cross between a tweed Twin and a tweed Bassman: A 40 watt all tube design. 2x6L6 power section, GZ34 rectifier, with tube Reverb(Accutronics reverb tank) Presence and Master Volume controls. The Presence control is very subtle unless you are at higher volumes. The Reverb can go from subtle to swampy. The speakers are 3 Goldwood GW-1038P 10" ceramic ribbed cone speakers. And one Jensen Mod 10/50. These are not the original speakers. The cabinet is Sligo's solid wood tweed era style cab. I believe it is pine(not 100% sure) The amp has moderate cosmetic wear. As would be expecgted from an amp that has seen use, but not unnecessary abuse. The grill cloth is in good condition. The tweed has wear. Some stains, scuffs from use. The stains are most notable on the back panel. There is some fraying on the corners of the tweed(see photos) The chassis front panel has a crack in it. The auction also includes a used F*nder brand nylon slipcover for the amp. The tubes have just been replaced and biased. So you know you aren't getting worn out tubes. The first preamp tube is a Sovtek 12AX7. Selected for low noise. Orange Amps TH100 tube head
I have an Orange TH100 100 watt tube head for sale. I bought it new less than a year ago. It's in great shape and everything is in perfect working condition. The only reason I'm selling it is because I just bought an older model and cant afford to keep both. This head has an effects loop. 2 channels and can run at either 4, 8 or 16 ohms. Here are all the specs. The Orange TH100 is an incredibly versatile amp packed full of face-melting rock and metal tones. But capable of cleaning up to a sparkly chime. Those who hear it reminisce about the now infamous Orange AD140, an amp considered by many to have been the best lead amp ever made. The Orange TH100 has only six knobs split between dedicated clean and dirty channels. 1954 Gibson GA 5 Les Paul Junior Amp Restored by Buffalo Amps
The original Gibson GA 5 Les Paul Junior Amp from 1954. It was a basket case that I shipped to Rob at Buffalo Amps to have restored. It has been recovered in his own version of Gibson's"Shaved Poodle" tolex and uses a slightly larger ceramic speaker(6x9) than the original one that came with the amp(3x6) Tube compliment is NOS 6v6 and 6sl7 with a solid state rectifier in place of the 5y3. The solid state rectifier allows clearance of the larger ceramic magnet( the one that improves the lows and overall tone) This amp was the GA 5 that was featured on his website. I will include an extra 6sl7 in the sale. These amps have a sweet mellow tone that you just can't find in new amps outside boutique builds. Due largely to that 6sl7 pre amp. The larger speaker really allows this amp to sound much bigger, smooth and mellow. The amp ... morehas normal gentle wear with 1 ding on the top right front which does not come out in photos, due to the shaved poodle tolex. I am including Gerald Weber's"Desktop Reference of Hip Vintage Guitar Amps" to keep it fun. This amp is essentialy the same circuit as the original F* Champ 800 Amp which is is in the book. You are bidding on a Used and extremely rare. Fender MS-8 Midi controlled channel switching unit for guitar and bass amps with power supply. This unit functions beautifully. Switches and buttons work perfectly. This units only flaws are cosmetic- it has“Rack rash” many scratches- on the top. Edges and bottom of the unit as well as a couple on the faceplate. This switcher also originally had 4 tiny rubber“feet” on the bottom or the chassis. One has come off. A very rare piece indeed: the Fender Nobels MS-8 amp switcher. This little baby can switch multiple units at the same time: conventional amps. Effect-units, etc. whether they understand Midi or not. The MS-8 is perfect on stage, for practicing, or recording via your preferred combination of switch settings that can be recalled in various ways. With this. Vintage Fender Grill Cloth taken from old amps, Deluxe, Princeton Pro twin
Do you have a Fender amp that needs an authentic grill cloth to complete that vintage look? Don't settle for new stuff when you can have the real deal. We have two pieces of authentic. Classic Fender grill cloth! The one which measures 26"x30" is the"newer looking" fabric and it is the Black and silver stripe grill cloth for a silver face amplifier; the other piece which measures 21 1/2"x46" is much older. A pre-CBS cloth I would guess that has some gouges in it but it is the real deal. And depending on the size of the amp you need it for, you could hide the imperfections with the Fender logo and sizing. You chose which one you want. I will sell you either for the winning bid.
